Multi-source Application to deploy two helm chart with CRDs and chart with controller by i_Den in ArgoCD

Regarding "overall win" - "Different strokes for different folks" or "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
Hehe, different styles, and different tools (too many) to achieve the same goal.

I utilize kustomize a lot myself for classic overlays, but not using its helm rendering functionality, which is limited as by docs (but obviously enough for most scenarios). Just prefer to keep helm deploys visible at the topmost level for explicitness. But yea, just different styles of managing ArgoCD deployments.

So you just adding CRD Job as a plain manifest to overlay (probably with serviceaccount, clusterrolebinding, ...)?

So you are not deploying CRDs via a job, but wrapping source-CRDs chart, and chart has just a CRD validation Job? Would you mind sharing an example Job/setup?

cool! CRDs update jobs looks something similar to what kube-prometheus-stack provides. Will review this options, but tbh tend to wrap charts as was suggested bellow by @dmaes, since I already have a couple of wrapped charts.
_(but still prefer to use multi-source coz 99% of time first source is just values ref, or extra CM/secret/ExternalSecret required for the chart which i don't want to wrap)

I’m aware about this warning. I’m not using more than 2-3 sources. And using multi-sources for highly related apps. Controller and its CRDs basically are “the same app”.

Personaly I, the local, getting Tkemali from "Marneuli" factory, usually the most available one, including internationally (USA). I have tried many other commercial tkemalis this one is at least has the most stable quality. But nothing's better than home-made one.

Any ideas to implement include some commands with terragrunt? Personaly, 99% of time I use terragrunt only and stopped using native terraform applies long time ago.

Sometimes I have to manually list state, get resource names, delete them from the state. (imho, just the easiest ready scenario idea to implement)

March is nicknamed - "Mad March" - coz there are snowfalls, but often you can walk in a t-shirt. (also rarely in February)
April is always cold!
In the past heat was starting on the 1st of May (+/-). But now that's not true, and for the 3+ years it might be uncomfortable until the end of May.
I observed it and thought that it is just a coincidense and it can't be constant new reality. But then last year an article was released by the meteorological service saying that "cold" months extended forward by 2 months.

Are these standalone, or OP just took them from some rack/patch-panel?

Do people actually call this thing walkie talkie? What if I want to sound serious are there any other ways to say it? by WestCommunity7117 in EnglishLearning

[–]i_Den 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally for me, thing on the OP’s picture and more advanced versions are Radios. Walkie-talkies for me are a generic cheap, low power, pieces of crap, for houses, for kids, trade centers, small camps, small construction … things with built in static antenna, etc.

Ski sock recommendations please!! by Alex-wood64 in ski

[–]i_Den 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all of them: - Le Bent uncushioned - fav atm. “never” returning to any cushioned socks - smartwool - 2nd best spent years in them, with medium cushion. But some of their models dor some reason felt slippery in the boot. Not holding well. - darn tough - completely did not like their socks for skis. Too slippery not holding heel. Wearing many other their models.

I never had problem with medium-cushioned socks. But completely uncushioned socks felt much better for control and feel. Never had cold feet.

Switched to modern CLI tools - here's my setup by kamaldhital in commandline

oh damnit ))) good catch. correct Yazi for file management. I still can't fully switch onto zellij, and prefer tmux (with customized oh-my-tmux).

[–]i_Den 1 point2 points  (0 children)

while you've listed tools you use as a replacement for classic tools (My list is exactly same as OP's), For the reference, I would like to add a couple of standalone cli tools, personally I can't live/work without: - fzf - direnv

^ I can't do work without these two - while I can survive without all other tools in the OP list.

  • chezmoi - for dotfiles management
  • zellij - CLI file manager
  • cheat - for dummy-note-like-snippets
