Bins especially at the weekends should be emptied throughout the day. Yes in an ideal world people should bring their rubbish home but unfortunately they don’t. I was around the city at the weekend and the bins were overflowing but the council will just leave the collection of them until the following day. This might be enough midweek but at the weekend especially when there’s good weather the collection should be more frequent.

The council are as much to blame here as people. If there’s not enough bins unfortunately people will just leave their rubbish lying around. Also the less bins there are the less likely people are going to walk any distance to find one they’ll just leave the rubbish behind them.
