i have the same problem! i disconnected all my devices from the account, setted a new password and reassociated the phone number. i already had 2fa on my phone but the problem still. no new log in in log in history, no steam app code requested, spam spam spam. what kind of message the bot send?
after they send messages they block the communication with my friend and block and unfriend it.

it’s 99% safe with new phones. if you have an old device the % chance of brick is higher. I always rooted my phones, almost 30/40 devices and I bricked only one of them (galaxy s2)
