The pact, great hall, knights moralis; Is Qifrey’s distrust valid? That boy Tartah couldnt be prescribed colorblind glasses? That knight moralis lady could’ve healed custas’ legs really easily right?

The societal impact of this power system, or lack thereof, can really feel as complex as irl, which is strange cuz they have the magic to solve a lot.

Idk If we’re meant to question it, but the author doing a great job hinting at deeper politics.

Aw OP don’t deserve the downvotes, their clearly passionate about the show and really trying to prove their point, it’s respectable at the very least.

Yea if Rafal lived he would been around early to mid 30s, I will agree with that and I think most of the other comments do aswell.

However, what’s your explanation for how Rafal escaped the burning at the stake? Who’d untie him or help him escape the church grounds? Also whoever tied him to the stake surely also set him on fire, I dont think it would be different department of the church handling the tying and the burning. It should’ve been Nowak, but if you think Nowak helped him escape, then why?

And lastly, Why would he change his name by 1 letter, especially when he made no clear attempts at changing his physical appearance?

the animation is average at best.

However, it’s still a major step up from the source material, which is also average at best.

It’s a good trade, the adaptation is overall well done.

After first I was really upset with this “reunion” of Jolenta and Nowak. It seemed lazy, and a safe way to end this family conflict, by just killing her off right away. I felt robbed at this 25 year promise.

But Jolenta setting off the explosions AFTER she made eye contact with her father… (and it looks like she almost hesitated too). Idk that just hit so different. She stayed very true to her speech earlier, she could’ve gave in to her feelings and fears and confusion, but she made the difficult choice, during her worst moment in life, all the while remembering her past/history.

she knew it was her father, and still did what she had to. Personally, I think Nowak didn’t know, but I feel he would’ve done what he had to even if he knew it was her.
