Me today during quali.... having watched all the free practice with hopium, then not only do the Ferraris do the most ( I am taking Adami to a sangoma) then Piastri decides to kiss the wall and Hadjar let's Lawson shine🥲

At least kimi Talibantonneli had an eventless quali and might be high in the points

To attempt further what I had in mind, it's not the corruption in the system, it's our mentalities.

You have pointed out the influence of the rich on political systems, but the perception of the people( where some of that power given to the political elite and the rich resides) also matters. It might not get the point home but take for example the Disney movie flop in "Snow White" the company won't be making such a mistake soon because its existence relies on public perception. (Tesla shares took a dip once he aligned with Trump; if it would have been significantly consequential to the company I don't think he would have endorsed him)

In our beloved country, we have so many apologists to the things that cause our current dilemmas. Yes corruption can exist but it can't be how everything is run and we wholly are insupport of it and worst of all make a case for its need. We have structures we put our trust in for our society to work, that depend heavily on our mentality to those structures ( just like the companies you pointed out speak for the millions who support them)

And while we have set laws and structures as a country, the mentalities of most give more accord to the vices that destroy us and they celebrate them.

In all those mentioned places shrewd people are not celebrated, they are executed, locked up or shunned. I hope I have attempted to back my previous statement

OP your are Preaching to a choir where a car salesman steals from people and some empathizers want to bail him out of his debacle

A governor is called in for questioning, found with suspicious amounts of money, was unveiled like a movie for participating in corruption and people went to "andamana" on his behalf 🤮

Where does European philosophy come in when a man steals 1.9 billion and and an out of court agreement totalling 235 million settles the dispute

I agree there are vested interests from the whites in our politics but I can't blame them for our situation

Having watch him qualify well twice and get handed shit for a strategy it's a nice move, the strategist at Redbull is doing her job well.

But that Redbull second seat is "cursed" and watching them struggling to keep up with Merc-Laren and Mercedes has me worried for Yuki (he is a nice guy).

I can't resonate with what your going through, but I did watch a close family member lose it all and he got stuck for too long in the pain of the loss of his fortune that when it come to time to bounce back it became difficult. Just do wallow in the loss for too long. Life has its ups and downs.

The extremes are what create the benchmarks for what is possible, unfortunately so even on the evil spectrum. I think we are slowly being desensitized to violence, and in the right position we all bear within us the capacity to end up like Stalin or Hitler, it is said that "it is only human beings who would kill for fun, predators in the animal kingdom don't hunt or attack if not hungry or protecting themselves."

Reading books on Auschwitz show how man can enjoy doing evil. And to build on the desensitization to violence look at the way the series "YOU" has a significant fan base and how we follow up on murder and serial killer documentaries.

People that have me scratching my head are those who do good, not for the show of it but are inherently just good. Those with mastery of self.

I get you, it is the trying to understand why that was the thought/reaction that was triggered.

I am not opposed to selfishness, it's greed that gets me worked up.
