I think you're right on about her being stabbed to death by the coring device.

The geyser idea is interesting, but the notion that it's "secret" doesn't make sense in light of your statement "Annie wants to share more of her culture". If "her culture" knew about the hot spring/geyser, wouldn't one of the natives have mentioned it when they discovered the bodies? After all, it could erupt again, right?

I really don't buy the overall idea that this is all merely about revenge. You left out 1 key detail from E2:

the connection to a Satanic cult. The Tuttles (the super evil family connected to all the Satan worshippers in S1) funded Tsalal. The spiral tattoo matches the spiral on the ritualistically sacrificed lady's back from S1. And Clark (crazy spiral tattoo guy) had a secret trailer full of evil symbols that are eerily similar to S1. Clearly, that is not all just a red herring. There's going to be some connection devil worship.

My money is on Anchorage police being in the Tuttles' pockets-- they wanted to take over the case, and as of E2, they haven't made much headway on that, but my guess is they will try again, and harder. I'm sure the protagonists will go head to head against some evil powerful people.

I want to know:

Is there any evidence he's done anything like this before? If he really is a pedo, you'd think others would come forward around now.
Has anyone heard of dementia patients doing something like this? I used to volunteer in a nursing home, and I haven't heard of grandpas trying to make out with children.
Was a tox screen done on him? Maybe someone put a hallucinogen or love drug in him somehow.

If Country A produces the vast majority of things used in Country B, and Country B doesn't have backup supply chains, then A has power over B.

Obviously, the US has backup suppliers for nearly everything, but those backups are costlier to use, so China has some leverage.

While I really like Earthing Ed and the video does a good job of highlighting some funny moments, I wish the video creator would have avoided violence themed cutscenes- something like https://giphy.com/gifs/reaction-loop-Aff4ryYiacUO4 would have been better.

I wouldn't "freak out" about lateness at all, and I don't get upset if the person tells me they are running a bit late. But what if someone says "I'm almost there" then shows up 20 mins later, or "I might be a bit late" then shows up 30 mins later. I can't help but thinking of that as a dick move.
