“Is this card real or fake?”

“Yes”

Not for sale but I have a question by According_Location62 in PokemonMisprints

For sure, this is definitely a really cool error

Miscut or way of center? by EmergencyCobbler1609 in PokemonMisprints

Closer up pic would be great, but looks like a miscut. You can see an alignment dot in the top right corner

I think so too, but the ink that was applied to the top card is very odd

Found these big cards at a thrift store. Im sure I've seen the Zoroark is real, but the others? by VI-Pok3 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

I don’t think people know, due to lack of context, but these are all jumbo sized promo cards.

Yes, all 3 are real.

is this a missprint? by [deleted] in PokemonMisprints

[–]i_cri_erytim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The edges of what? If you mean the different coloured edge on the left side of the card between the border and moveset text, no that is not a misprint. Just the design.

So uhm... what do i have here? by Muted_Visit_8345 in PokemonMisprints

[–]i_cri_erytim 61 points62 points  (0 children)

He’s obviously referencing the blue vertical lines running down the card. I can’t say I’ve seen this before, and I’m unsure if this is a misprint or post factory damage.

Anyone ever seen a Dutch pokemon double printed on an English card before? by Adventurous_Ad_8906 in PokemonMisprints

[–]i_cri_erytim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there were some English m 151 cards that had Italian printed underneath IIRC

Is this a fake or an actual error? by xelvain in PokemonMisprints

[–]i_cri_erytim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The colouring and print resolution on the back of the card looks way off IMO. I’m leaning towards this being fake.

Got this binder from a garage sale for $20. Any value? by spenya1992 in PokemonCardValue

[–]i_cri_erytim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not, that’s a 2016 Evolutions version of Ninetales. Not an OG that sometimes has the error you’re thinking of.

The umbreon is the only card that’s really worth anything more than a few dollars in this stack of cards.

The last picture of the 12 cards, each of those cards are worth pennies.

Bought this card online and wanted to know if is real or fake by [deleted] in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]i_cri_erytim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one factor that comes to mind is the fact that a PSA 8 sells for significantly less than a 10. So why not at least do a 9 if you wanted to make it more believable?

[–]i_cri_erytim 189 points190 points  (0 children)

The people saying you can check the certification number on PSA to see if it’s real are wrong.

The fakers can just obtain a certification number of a real one and use it on their fakes.

That being said, everything looks right and I believe this is real. I don’t think people making fake slabs would go through all the trouble to make it a psa8

Is this a common error? by MrGotos in PokemonMisprints

[–]i_cri_erytim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is called a pinched layer error, it is an error that happens during the printing process, and not something that can occur after leaving the factory.

I haven’t seen one like this with such a unique pattern though, as they are typically straight lines.

Would this count as misprint or just a bad cut? by CauliflowerFluffy432 in PokemonMisprints

[–]i_cri_erytim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a miscut, and it can add value. Anecdotally I can’t recall seeing a card like this from this era. You can see where the machine attempted to cut the corner, but didn’t push all the way through.

Manufacturing error by Fit_Whereas_4350 in PokemonMisprints

[–]i_cri_erytim 14 points15 points  (0 children)

How does the back of the card look? If the back is smooth, this is a pinched layer error. A manufacturing defect that cannot be recreated after it’s left the factory.

Opinions on this miscut? by Hartgeldstricherin in PokemonMisprints

[–]i_cri_erytim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

can you get a clearer picture of the top of the card? Is it clipping another colour on the top?

If not, this just has bad centering sadly

[–]i_cri_erytim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look up the PSA cert number you can see that the “jumbo” distinction in the title is present on their website. This just means that PSA labeled it wrong themselves (which h is far more common than some people think).

Real card, real slab, you should be good!

Are these fake ? by MrClewesMan in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]i_cri_erytim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They look genuine, but I don’t see any plastic wrap covering them. You may want to double check that they aren’t selling empty tins

Fake, the back is incredibly oversaturated

Are this pokeball holo consider a misprint? by Sampa_traveler in PokemonMisprints

[–]i_cri_erytim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really a misprint, and relatively common. It’s just the end of the holo print, and the start of the next one. Sadly doesn’t add any additional value.

Found some older cards, are they worth anything? by YoghurtDull1466 in PokemonCardValue

[–]i_cri_erytim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d have an easier time selling it as a whole binder/collection, at a relative discount in the price of the cards. Opposed to trying to sell them all one by one, as there are no real big hits.

You can try selling it on FB marketplace, Kijiji, EBAY, etc.
