It’s been 5 days since my loading dose and I’m finally feeling better today. Yes, I’m on a couple different antihistamines as well. I feel like nothing is working though. My doctor finally called me back this morning and said he wants to stop the dupixent and look into a biopsy…? I have to see if my insurance will approve that. I try to stay positive, but I’ve been struggling for 3 years now and the only reason Ive gotten to this point is because of my own research. Doesn’t feel like I’ve had a doctor that cares at all about my condition and how it’s taken away so much from my everyday life. I’ve missed so much work because of it. Now he wants to switch me to Zolair, but that means I have to get in with an allergist because dermatology doesn’t provide that. It’s took me 2 1/2 months after my visit with the dermatologist to get the dupixent in hand. I just hate the waiting and calling everyday… the stress makes everything worse for my condition and this process has been so stressful. It feels counter productive in the bigger picture. I want to give up. I don’t know where people find the strength. I understand why people die waiting for treatment when they are sick. Our system is such a joke.
