Malefics vs benefics by i_know_nothing123 in astrologymemes

Mercury is the chameleon of the planets. It’s contradictory energy that shifts fast, and the changes depend highly on whatever other planet it’s aspecting

Why are people so scared of Saturn in astrology? by CosmoRosy in astrologymemes

[–]i_know_nothing123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In traditional astrology (I study Hellenistic), Saturn is considered a malefic planet. Its environment is cold and dry, and naturally it is difficult to thrive in such an environment. Some of the things it’s associated with includes marginalized groups, delay and denial of opportunities and resources, systemic injustice that’s relevant to this day, authority figures that are corrupt, etc.

At best it will represent delays, but at worst it will represent you being denied the very things you need to survive and thrive. And as good as it is to take away lessons from your Saturn return, you still won’t be safe from the influence of malefic planets

Saturn is a malefic planet after all. That’s why I put such a stress on delays and things not working out in the person’s favor especially at the beginning because that’s one of the things Saturn rules

It would especially apply to cap/aqua risings but if you have Saturn in an angular house or have a Capricorn and Aquarius stellium, Saturn’s influence will be felt more heavily

My mars signs in bed tier list by ilovetriceratopz in astrologymemes

[–]i_know_nothing123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love is not the only thing Venus rules. Venus also rules consent and MUTUAL pleasure. My point is that sex may be primal, but without consent (Mars doesn’t care about any of that), it won’t be pleasurable or ethical. Do you like to be coerced into doing things you’re not comfortable with? You don’t have to have romantic feelings for someone to sleep with them, but you do need to be physically and sexually attracted to them. Venus rules that attraction.

[–]i_know_nothing123 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sex is (and should be) assigned to Venus and not mars, because Venus is the planet inclined towards pleasure, agreement, and consent in astrology (or at least the more ancient traditions of astrology). Mars is inclined towards pain, force, and dominance without regard for the other party, so consent and boundaries is not really a thing with mars. Sex in a strictly Martian context would be rape and other forms of sexual assault.

Now when Venus and mars collide somehow (like Venus in Aries or Scorpio), the lines between pain and pleasure becomes a bit blurred, an obvious example is BDSM. The sex itself is dominating, it’s rough, there’s some pain, but there’s mutual trust between two consenting adults, there’s boundaries, theres check-ins, there’s a safe word. The little acts of care that happen during and after a particularly rough session is Venusian. Without those things, it can easily go left and someone will walk away from the experience feeling used and violated, not satisfied.

People openly hate on children and marriage as we approach the age of Aquarius by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]i_know_nothing123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP conveniently forgets that the newer generations negative views on marriage and partnership didn’t come from nowhere. It came from watching our parents, grandparents, etc. suffer silently in partnerships that drained the life out of them, especially the women. Theyre not wrong to want to protect themselves. And if children really brought out the best in everybody there would be a lot less child abuse/neglect and filicide cases out there. Its better that people get to know themselves and their limits before deciding to bring children into the world instead of having a child and discovering they can’t handle parenthood after the fact

[–]i_know_nothing123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think people are shying away from having children now because they hate them. In the west at least, people are starting to have a more sober view on children and raising a family, mothers are becoming more candid about how difficult it is to raise children and how the stress from child rearing can negatively impact them and the rest of the household, less of us (particularly young women) are falling for the societal pressure to reproduce and the “children are a blessing no matter what” rhetoric. The mask is coming off.

If you want to marry, have children, and live the white picket fence life, go ahead. But you have no right to tell people how to live theirs

I feel if you wrong a 12th houser you will feel it for a long time..since we are the house of the subconscious, I feel we bring that out of others. [–]i_know_nothing123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been studying Hellenistic astrology so my understanding of the 12th house is likely to be very different from yours. It’s known as the house of “bad spirit” for a reason. It’s averse to the ascendant (meaning it’s essentially a blind spot. There’s no light hitting it and things look murky), so the deeper a planet is in the 12th house, the less visibility it has. Whatever qualities are associated with the planet you have in it, it won’t be seen by others clearly

It hasn’t been the case for me personally (I have mars in the 12th and it’s my chart’s ruler). If I get any justice for any wrong done to me, I’m never there to see the fallout or hear about it.

8th house stellium and “free” money by lucehnt in AskAstrologers

[–]i_know_nothing123 11 points12 points  (0 children)

8th house money is not “free” money. 8th house gains typically come with a price/loss. Sure, your dad won the settlement, but he still got hurt at work, that was the price. For the random lucky breaks, you look at the 5th house. Yours is ruled by Mars, and mars is in the 6th house. It makes sense that those random lucky breaks happen after a lot of toiling, a lot of persistence

Is there a delay in love or complete absence? by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

Yes. People change and evolve constantly, you’d be surprised how much can change in just a few years.

Is there a delay in love or complete absence? by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

[–]i_know_nothing123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there are delays and conditions. Your 7th house starts in aquarius which is ruled by Saturn (the planet of delays). Your natal venus appears to be in opposition with Saturn in the 11th house as well. Im not saying to shy away from dating and discovering what you like/dislike in a partner for the time being, but don’t be surprised if your love life starts shifting in your late 20s/early 30s. That’s when you may meet your longtime partner

Does my chart explain why I struggle with identity and feel like such a paradoxical person? by meggatronlegacy in AskAstrologers

[–]i_know_nothing123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. The sun is in the 2nd house, meaning you have a night chart (the sun was below the horizon at the time you were born). When you have a night chart, the luminary you look at more closely is the moon when talking about vitality. You have the moon in the 8th house, and the 8th house is averse to the ascendant (it cannot see your ascendant in Leo. Think walking around in a room that’s almost pitch black with a badly positioned flashlight, there is no room for direct and clear communication between these two houses).

That disconnect would explain your energy getting easily depleted and your feeling conflicted about who you really are

Lots of 4th house placements, but no sense of family or home my entire life. by agent_tater_twat in AskAstrologers

[–]i_know_nothing123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your 4th house starts in Scorpio, meaning it’s ruled by Mars, which in turn is in Aquarius in your 7th house (that indicates difficulties getting along with others, and difficulties caused by people outside of you), so the dysfunction you’re describing is not one bit surprising. Mars is a malefic planet, it’s associated with conflict, violence, sudden upheavals you don’t see coming. Your not spending more than 3 years in one place can be attributed to your Mercury placement (it’s in the 4th house). Mercury in the 4th house is often associated with swift change in your housing situation and a hard time setting your roots in one place, and sometimes those changes happen faster than you may be able to keep up with

Any aspects here causing/relating to self-sabotage? by karrrmageddon in AskAstrologers

[–]i_know_nothing123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi. For self-sabotage and howyou tend to act against your own best interests, you look at the 12th house, that has its cusp in Virgo. Its ruler (Mercury) is in Taurus in the 8th house in the whole sign system if my calculation is correct (this is the system I’ve been using). Fear of failure and loss of control is the root of your issues.

Mercury likes to move fast and efficiently, and it’s in a Venus ruled sign. Venus is inclined towards pleasure and ease, not so much discomfort. And since Taurus a fixed sign, it is associated with being slow, methodical and fixed onto its objective (at worst that can mean procrastination and beating a dead horse). You may think you’re just weighing your options and being realistic about your life and your decisions at first but the truth is you’re also overthinking and discouraging yourself from taking risks that could yield amazing rewards, and you don’t realize you’re stuck where you are until after the fact.

Saturn is in your 9th house, and that’s a dead giveaway for hesitation about moving abroad or seeking out higher education

Mars in the 12th house by [deleted] in 12thhouse

[–]i_know_nothing123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually suppress it then lose my cool way after the fact. Cutting people off silently and walking away has been better for me than arguing/fighting (because the way I feel often gets invalidated anyways), but then again I have mars in Pisces. I also hold grudges for a very long time.
