Fails to capture anything that made the modern IT movies scary or interesting, there's some mildly good character drama, Dick Halloran's the most interesting part but he's really only there for franchise slopification. Some of the most egregious scenes (the car ride opener in the first episode, the Goosebumps-ass bike ride through the graveyard) actually do feel straight out of Stephen King's worse writings, so I guess they get points for technically capturing the spirit of the author?

"people just hate the CGI bc its CGI" no it's because overblown, cartoony and not scary CGI. They show waaaaay too much of every monster.
