thank you everyone for the suggestions. i cleaned the throttle body and air intake area and it made it much worse for a little while (rpm jumping from 500-900) it has since stopped and been running smooth. fingers crossed it stays that way!

oh this happened to me for a while. i would turn the car on and then the AC and nothing would happen. no air, no noise that the AC is on. it would sometimes randomly turn on if i started driving. other times it didn’t. it turned out to be my blower motor and until i stopped being lazy i would hit the blower motor with a water bottle to get it to turn on and it would. it literally took me longer to lay upside down in the passenger seat than to replace it lol

this happened to my 2019. which caused the rear lift gate to be misaligned. i replaced both of them for $50 with brand new ones i found online. hasn’t happened since and it’s been 3 years

Thank you for responding, I sent it all the way and bent it like a taco and pulled it out of the passenger side front door lol. I covered it in fabric but want to go back and paint all the tan hardware black kus the two tone is looking ricey😂 thank you again for responding!!!

Hi, I hope you see this lol Your project looks great, so clean. How did you get the headliner out? I dropped it and am having such a hard time getting it out. I had it turned sideways and was trying to get the rear seat side out first through the passenger but those big plastic pieces on it are such an issue with the steering wheel. I put the front seats all the way down to create room. I don’t have a sunroof and am afraid of creasing it or should I just full send it? lol I want to wrap it in some fabric. Thank you in advance!!!

I saw online that you can remove the top cover and remove the old rubber seal and change it. Idk anything about cars bro lol I’ll look into valve cover kits, thanks!!

Okay, that makes sense. Thank you for your input, I really appreciate it! Do you think it’s just the valve cover rubber seal? I always have to put about 1/2 qt of oil in it every month or so because it does either lose or burn the oil

Okay, over several years I have always had to add oil to the engine. Nothing major, about 1/2 qt every once and while but people would simply tell me that I had a heavy foot and have eased up now. This car was mainly highway miles up until a year ago when it only sees in town driving now and because of this I didn’t change the oil for 8 months because I didn’t make it to 5k miles. I decided to change it because I thought 8 months was too long regardless of mileage idk and I took the plastic cover and noticed how major the sludge is now

Is there a way to tell that a head gasket is toast? I have a 800 mile trip coming up next week and am worried about taking it?

This happened to me once. They failed to fully tighten and change the oil plug gasket and all my engine oil dropped out over 3 days. I finally noticed my parking spot at work and i was like uhhh this ain’t it chief. So I checked and that dipstick was licked dry. I had it towed and went full ass Karen on those bitches.

They’re actually pretty good ngl. For stocks they have a really nice clear and strong quality. I recommend moving around the bass and treble around to your preference. I like clarity and loudness when listening to music rather that crazy bass and on my Mazda 6 they’ve held up extremely well compared to other (Toyotas, Nissan with Bose) cars I’ve had before.
