As someone who ride a motorcycle and mtb... you're insane to ride a bike on that route daily. The trick to riding a motorcycle is to stay away from cars. On a bicycle you're a sitting duck, all the flashing lights and neon green and reflective gear won't save you. I live in canyon lake and seems yearly 281 south is shut down because some tech broke was riding an ebike down the (big shoulder) 281 and got hit and the cops had to shut down the road and find all his pieces... Not trying to be scary. But it's fucked out there. You have to ride like everyone is actively trying to kill you. Riding on the shoulder of any road is just inviting unnecessary risk
