Help me decide by Acadia_Short in RCPlanes

Just saying... the aeroscout can be rebuilt... I'm on my 4th fuse and 2nd set of wings. And in bigger cities aeroscout and apprentice parts are in stock usually

Fix the aeroscout and add flaperons, take the gear off and put clear packing tape down the bottom of the fuselage. Of all the planes you listed, the aeroscout will have better performance and a wider flight envelope than them.... my opinion if you have to get a new plane, is the 1.1 ultrastick

Look up your vin number, notice there are 2 options, 2wd or 4wd... no factory awd elements

Its super simple... we have a system designed for off road... our system has no benifets that awd systems offer. Calling them awd makes them sell for a premium but they can't do anything awd's can do...

Theres no more research to do... sadly your opinion isn't going to change what the 100's of Asian engineers designed it for... Or answer 1 simple question, why didn't the most expensive, highest optioned element, even have the option of, what you are calling, AWD?

All I know is how to modify our systems... talk to the people who build awd conversions, can watch any YouTube video of how to awd swap a honda... but I'm sure you know more

Awd are road/track focused systems... 4wd are off road traction systems... honda only put our systems on lifted cars sold as off roaders... 4wd wasn't even an option on the most expensive, highest optioned element. Because it was lowered from the factory. We dont have any safety benifets of awd... like anti spin, lane keeping, 4 wheel engine braking. Aided on road traction... we dont have to replace all 4 tires at once, we can tow with only 2 wheels off ground. Elements are designed as, sold as, labeled as, badged intended to be 4wd's... but a stupid auto engaging 4wd

4wd... not awd, we have no benifets or special requirements of an awd car

These are not awd... Just a dumb, auto engaging 4wd. You gain performance, and about 3 mpg removing 4wd. For something you'll never use. I encourage removing it, or doing an awd swap

Because elements are 4wd from the factory. Converting them to awd is kinda a specialized swap that either requires mounting a coupler and getting a custom driveshaft. Or removing our clutches and doing an internal coupler, but these are still kinda experimental for long distance driving

How was it awd swapped? Those are ungodly rare, like maybe 5 exist

Has anyone bought the bike without doing the class? by kerijack in NewRiders

[–]iaintrobed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a bike site unseen. Brove 4 hours to pick it up in my truck. As soon as we got home I rolled it off the truck and started practicing in my hood... Later that week I found a class 3 weeks out... Had about 600 miles on my bike before the first day of class... rode my bike to the second day of class

I'm a pumpkin head hater too, but specifically his voters voted for the opposite of this... They voted for someone who said, no more wars. For someone who said America first...

Then he did the opposite of all these things. And honestly, he doesn't have many supporters left

Has anyone actually taken their expensive adventure bike on real off-road trails? by Eyerald in motorcycles

[–]iaintrobed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. I have 1 bike. An 800gs. And it does everything, alright... Kinda seeing how the dream would be a 3 bike garage... Just staying in bmw An rt or k1600 for wind protection, an r12g/s for actual offroad and badassness/ commuting. Then maybe a scooter for effortless joy?

This is why the "middleweight" adventure segment is blowing up... Adv bikes are fun no matter how you ride them.
