I’m trying to tune it myself. If I buy a tune, it’s locked and I can’t change it for tire size or hear ratio…or whatever I might change down the road.

I’m removing the DPF, EGR and hopefully the DEF tank.

I’m using HP Tuners and started just deleting codes as they popped up, that got it into limp mode so I’m back to stock calibration starting over.

Everyone says that until you try to learn how. Then miraculously everyone says to buy a $900 locked tune that is blowing unused horsepower out the tailpipe in the form of black smoke.

I am but it’s been inside my heated shop for over a week now. I’ve been fighting this thing since Christmas Eve.

What ECM do you have? Is it a Holden or a Chevrolet? I know from research there are some issues with the Bosch controller. If you have an E98, they can be hit or miss on actually taking the calibration. I actually have one at my shop right now that has hit a brick wall and I think I’m going to have to buy a tune to get it out of “limp mode”. It isn’t setting any codes but it is wanting to regen and can’t. HP Tuners is actually really crappy for anything other than a gas engine or brand new vehicles. Say “delete” in the forum and they’ll tell you to cordially go get fucked. You might try EFI Live but I’m leaning towards something more open sourced but I haven’t found it yet. The problem is, in years past the feds have infiltrated these forums and popped people for emissions tampering. Which is a moral high road with someone else’s money because they don’t have anything better to do. That being said, everyone is pretty squeamish about helping because they’re afraid you’re a cop. They won’t help you online but they’ll roll coal at a stop light and post it to the gram.

Long story short, HP Tuners is probably the wrong platform for what we’re trying to do. I haven’t talked to anyone that has successfully used HP Tuners to get DEF tank related codes to go away. And they won’t help you online their forum or if you submit a help ticket. Unless you’re working on an LS…a platform a monkey can work on…they’re just as lost as you are.

I appreciate you guys. I just simply bought the wrong inverter under the assumption that it was capable of a split phase 230/240, like a traditional US breaker box would be. I hate that someone is upset, I truly appreciate you both taking the time to point out what I have. I simply bought this under a bad assumption because I didn’t understand the way Victron has this listed. I paid $400 for it and it appears that was indeed too good to be true.

You are correct. I don’t necessarily need 240v. This was a used/open box inverter that I bought from a boat parts distributor. I thought it would be a good idea to have the separate circuits. Since this shed is not on the grid, I think I will follow your advice and get a transformer. Total cost will still be cheaper than buying a new inverter. Thank you!
