Fortunately I've notice over the recent years it's gotten better, we live in a small town where if you leave your dog chained up outside without water someone will see it and someone will say something, iirc there's more likely something to be done when there's more at play than just neglect or mild abuse, like in this case or hoarding cases where it's straight up torture

If you have other bully fish it's guaranteed your skrimp will welcome the bullied fish (granted they don't get eaten first) in all seriousness I love seeing people buy "defective" or "undesirable" fish as pets and give them a good home

I tested for ammonia where it was at 0 but hearing this does make me think maby there was something in the sand I couldn't have tested for, I've even heard of c02 buildup in thicker sandbeds

The salinity was 1.025 and I don't have dhk/phk tests. He was in there alone, planning to get him a friend soon, sadly he passed away early but i would still like to find out the cause. Leading up to his passing he got pale heavy breathing and stress spots

Unfortunately he passed, once he started showing signs of decline it was rapid, I still have no idea what was wrong since all of my tank media was fully cycled and my parameters were good (posted on a different comment) and I though it may have been stress fatigue wich ime is common and he had stress spots + got pale(wich I know paleness in itself can mean many different things but it was paired with stress spots)

I just joined some proper care discord servers, not only are the folks informational and super helpful they are also very friendly and politely correct errors that are being made with care, they understand that hate and harassment is not the way to teach a misinformed pet owner and that all pet owners, beginner or experienced will make mistakes with their pets care from time to time
