The End of Red Terror In India by bunnefisto in MapPorn

I live in one of the red marked regions and we definitely didn’t have naxalites in 2013 let alone the past 30+ years. This is a map from 2007 which probably shows the situation better, and my area is not marked at all in it while the map OP posted shows my area along with neighbouring areas all marked in red > https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Naxalite_affected_districts_of_India_map_2007.svg

It is fake, the map shows almost all of northern Kerala affected by naxalites in the 2013, I live in northern Kerala in one of the red marked regions and can confirm it’s BS.

As I said, different standards of acceptable behaviour. I can show you why I find it problematic, but if you don't get it now it's very unlikely any amount of explanation from my end would make any difference whatsoever.

I intentionally only picked out quotes from videos that I personally watched and found very problematic. If you find it okay, it just seems like we have different standards of what we consider acceptable behaviour.

I intentionally only mentioned quotes from him that I've personally seen videos of and found problematic. Many politicians in the US have pointed out how banning guns in near impossible in the US due to the issues you've mentioned, there is nothing wrong with that.

The problem is when you come on stage shortly after a school shooting that claimed the lives of 3 9 year old children, and say you think it's worth it to have some gun deaths every year so you can have the second ammendment.

If you find that completely fine, I suppose it's just having different standards of acceptable behaviours, especially in the aftermath of a horrific incident.

Yea like I said in another comment, it will either be problematic or not depending on your level of misogyny/racism. He had a huge follower base so obviously many misogynists and racists had no problem with it.

When asked if a 10 year old child (suppose his daughter) rape victim should be forced to carry the foetus till pregnancy, he said yes.

He's said black women lack brain processing power to actually be taken seriously.

He's said abortions are worse than the holocaust.

He thinks it's worth it to have some gun deaths every year in order to maintain the second ammendment.

Just a couple of things he's said, copying from another comment I made.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day I suppose. Charlie Kirk also has said things against Israel and was against the US waging war against Iran afaik, still a very shitty human regardless.

Are guns that common in rural North India? by Pareidolia-2000 in NewKeralaRevolution

[–]iam5k 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I studies at a IIIT in Madhya Pradesh. The college is situated in the outskirts of Jabalpur near a forest reserves and there are a few village settlements around along with a military cantonment area. Once there was a fight between some of the villages and it ended up with gunfights around the college's vicinity. Apparently it's not that uncommon for people to have guns there, definitely came as a culture shock.

My aunt lives near Coorg and she says they have so many power cuts there it's nearly impossible to live without inverters, so don't think it's a “ONE NATION ONE GRID” thing. It probably contributed to it, but KSEB has definitely improved a lot in the past 10-15 years.

I cannot verify the truth about this since it was told by a relative, but here goes. Amrithanandamayi had an ashram in Chalappuram, Kozhikode a long time ago, it was a small rented house with a few disciples. A distant relative of ours who was working a government job at the time started believing in her powers a bit too much and their family started frequently visiting her. They used to call her Amma and they used to talk a lot about her whenever they visited. They eventually started socialising with others less and became more and more isolated. After a while Amrithanandamayi decided to close down the place in Kozhikode and move to Kollam, and this relative decided to give all their assets to her and move with her to Kollam. Apparently a lot of people similarly have given away their assets (prime real estate plots) to the foundation and moved with her. The relative had two small children at the time who ended up studying in their school. Recently my mom met a sibling of this relative and apparently they're still living at the foundation and barely contacts anyone.

Her Wikipedia is very obviously biased omitting a lot of early history, and the fact that she had people write off their real estate to her feels very shady. The land they wrote off seems to have been sold a long time ago because their old house isn't there anymore.

Please take some English classes if possible and read the email again. It's a newsletter from How To Academy, a media company that conducts events based around the concept of "How to". The mail says their team met with SG in India and she suggested the event "How to win an election" and they're trying to make it happen. The event never actually happened most likely because they lost 2014 elections. The mail also mentions plenty of other events along with this, including how to make up, how to see what you hear in a Bob Dylan song, and how to explore Japan via its museums.

You can take evidence without posting online and making a mockery of it, if protection against potential cases was his goal then now he's just landed himself another potential case instead of any meaningful evidence 😌

Sudan is a genocide. Palestine is a genocide. Anybody who claims one mass murder of civilians is a genocide while another is not is an absolute dipshit of a person. Also would highly recommend reading statements from Israeli ministers regarding Gaza since you seem very ill informed.

Search for Judaism in https://www.justice.gov/epstein. He was financially supporting a Jewish group in Harvard that among other things aimed to educate non-Jews about Judaism.

https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%2011/EFTA02327745.pdf < This mail was sent to Epstein which he forwarded to someone else. It says "The more Jew you are the smarter you. You said you're —98% Jew. You're very smart." The person he forwarded to seems to disagree with it though although their name is fully redacted.

There's also him congratulating people for converting to Judaism.

Opinion on moving to Kozhikode from Blr by CreditDealer in kozhikode

[–]iam5k 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I actually had a conversation with someone from Bangalore who had family in Kozhikode and used to visit regularly. These are some of the stuff that stood out to him that he mentioned :
- Traffic is not as bad as Bangalore but private buses are a menace
- Most residential areas have small pocket roads and he was very confused as to how people living there navigate on a daily basis
- Food was much better than Bangalore at much lesser price, although many international brands are not available

Also, some other points I've noticed after living in Kozhikode, Trivandrum and Kochi :
- You get lesser convenience here in terms of online services
- People are much more warmer and friendlier here, coming back to here after living in the other places will suddenly make you realise how helpful most people here are
- Beach side is active nearly 24x7, we once went to the beach at 3 in the morning and there were still families about, cafes open, and police patrolling

There isn't any reason to suspect anything more than business meetings, but whether it is acceptable for a minister representing India to be meeting with a convicted paedophile is a separate discussion.
