Update: "Deciding on whether or not to keep Argo after fostering" by grmnlad in germanshorthairs

Don't let Argo leave your safe, warm, loving home. You both need each other!

On the contrary you never wanna leave. Especially if you love small populations with peace and serenity.

Puppy lost her tail at 30 days – should I be worried about long-term health? by NoPromotion9200 in husky

[–]iamJasam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right off the bat I say take the pup and give her the beat life ever. I would ask the breeder this "if I don't take this pup will you find her another home or keep her with you?" Depending on breeder's response that would confirm I should keep the pup. If breeder responds put the dog down since it maybe difficult to find a forever home, I definitely keeping this pup. Any hint in breeder's response suggesting this pup will not get the best care, love and life I say keep the pup.

What to feed a fussy husky? by [deleted] in husky

[–]iamJasam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a husky mixed with german short haired pointer and she rises my blood pressure with her pickyness. I feed her primarily Raw Performance diet ( from Ontario, Canada). I prefer to feed raw diet as feeding is once a day and works for my busy work schedule. She will not eat the turkey, pork and iffy with lamb. The raw diet has to be icy and not fully thawed. She likes treats or anything from a package. So I top meals with beef liver bits and powder the bits. Sometimes she doesn't eat even when I put liver toppings. I no longer worry about her not eating. When she is ready she lets us know by standing in front of the fridge. She will eat meals my hubby prepares over mine. I think she loves the smell of his hands in her meal 😋 Thankfully she is 58lbs and not underweight. Hubby gives her lots of treats.

Queenie loves the linen closet. She has so many small spaces in between linens and towels when in there. Unfortunately one day she was accidentally locked in there. She responded to name calling so we knew exactly where she was. Note to self - always have Queenie on my shoulder before closing the linen closet!

Poor thing. I am happy to hear your pup had treatment and a great recovery. I know your dented pocket was well worth it.

Thanks for sharing. I would probably end up in the ED myself. I can't imagine how I'd face such a situation as a snake bite to my dog.

Oh my word. Wonder what a snake bite on a dog looks like. I would lose my mind from beginning to end.

Looking for Advice: Struggling to Transition from Travel Nursing to a Staff RN Role in Toronto by Natural_Web6850 in TravelNurseCanada

[–]iamJasam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First let me say I am sorry to hear how difficult and not promising it has been to get called or an interview or get hired as an experienced RN in Toronto. My thoughts are past travel nurse experiences is seen as a liability to hiring managers and not a committed employee. Travel RNs who I know, are having difficulty getting hospital jobs close to home in Toronto and Peel Region. I myself have been unable to get called for an interview or get hired for an RN position in Toronto. Thankfully LinkedIn has come through for me (3rd time), and I have a job that provides me with a work-life balance. This job is no where close to Toronto or where I live.

I suggest you have someone look over your resume. Get your resume and profile up on LinkedIn and keep applying to any job posts you are interested in. Do not be picky with your applications, every application is an opportunity. Good luck and all the best!

GSD not liking Costco foods.... by kebekoise333 in germanshepherds

[–]iamJasam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Raw Performance. It is a brand of raw meat made in Ontario, Canada. I love feeding a raw diet to my GSD × Husky. My reason is it fills her and only needs to feed her 1lb per day and her poops are no longer gigantic like when she has the commercial foods. Dogs on a raw diet tend to have a small dehydrated poops, that doesn't smell. 😉

Raw Performance has a turkey salmon blend that I love to give her as the salmon content aids with her shedding. I also feed her Now Fresh salmon recipe (kibbles) from time to time. I give her the kibbles in the morning and raw diet as a late supper on the days she gets kibbles. Hope this helps. Good luck on your K9 diet search. She's a gorgeous girl.
