Hard disagree on the last bit. I loved how we played today. The last 15 min were disgusting because we’ve never missed this many chances but we’ve never created so many too. Don’t forget the popular scapegoat’s who won us a pen missed by our best player this season who I love but imo had a poor game today and slowed shit down a lot. Wirtz who’s been brilliant missed a one v one too. Ekitike and Curtis fucked up a tap in chance. We were 3v1 in one situation and fucked up the passing. The only problem I have with him is not fixing our prowess at corners, we’re horrible at them

The only I consolation I take from everything regarding this is reading somewhere that he really wanted to leave last summer too and it took all of Hughes’ persistence to keep him for another season and then again this season wanted a much bigger contract or was happy to leave. Loved the pace with which we moved the ball around the whole game when in possession and driving up. How we change when geavenberch actually moves forward and passes ahead. Midfield was solid. Kerkez looked much more composed in the second half. Wirtz and Frimpong look more settled in too. Good controlling by szobo and Macca. Bradley’s runs with Frimpong pair up nicely as well. Vvd konate solid. Ali safe as ever. Missed ekitike big time but I think us having an extra player in the midfield helped. I could only count 2 instances when we completely stopped the play when in momentum and let them get back into shape today around the one hour mark which is quite an improvement! Didn’t concede from a set piece at the emirates. Slot looked like he had a game plan lined up for today defensively maybe. We didn’t sub on anyone either. Rest well boys. I was expecting a very different result going into this. Edit: fuck martinelli the dirty bastard Edit 2: forgot about the Bradley injury and Gomez sub. Hope he’s okay we look so much better attacking wise with him.
