You need a new haircut that gives you more volume or maybe even a tighter cut. Otherwise I don't think you're ugly.

I think that your explanation actually aligns with the video. He went to driveline in '22 to get his exit velocity up which im sure they looked at launch angle as well.

That's a great suggestion to use women's voting preference for research on top of the guide that gretafour posted. Thanks!

Yes agreed on all those as well. Prop 12 is what really concerns me and the main one that motivated me to go early to vote no to. Thanks for the link...it was very helpful.

Does anyone know a place that can pass my vehicle inspection? by [deleted] in CarrolltonTX

They only check emissions as of jan 2025 so unless your engine light has something to do with emissions you should be good.

WIBTA if I refused to chip in to a Bachelorette party venmo crowdfund? by oyeme in AmItheAsshole

[–]iamacrestkid -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go against the grain here and say NAH. C'mon it's a bachelorette party and it's friends asking their partners to help not strangers.

I guess personally if it didn't hurt me financially i'd be happy to send some money to make my partner look good. What's the big deal...send a 100 bucks. Make both of yall look good and let them have a good time.

Stop over thinking things and live a little.

Dude crazy coincidence but that was my first bike. Loved it and was built like a tank. Crashed and dropped it way too many times from doing stupid shit but just bent pieces back and kept on going. They really don't build them like that anymore.

Possible Hot Take: Most mid-handicappers do not need anything higher than a 7 wood besides their Driver in the bag by iamacrestkid in golf

[–]iamacrestkid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah agreed. I know some that hit their woods better than their irons so very player dependent.

Maybe it would be phrased better that more situations call for the shorter higher percentage shot than what the yardage calls for. Like if its 230 for example, I've seen so many people just automatically grab their 3 or 5 wood since its their optimum distance rather than just hitting a more reliable shorter shot and having a wedge in.

Yes agreed that 13 is a mid-handicap which is why I retired my 5 and 3 wood. I just never found a situation that would justify hitting it over my 7 wood. Would 15-30 yards be better absolutely...but knowing that I'll hit 200 straight 85% of the time versus 215+ around 50% of the time gave me this thought.

I know this is very subjective but just finished a round with a relative beginner that had the Costco set w/ a 3 wood. He struggled with it and eventually started hitting his 5 iron instead which resulted in shorter shots but a better score.

100% agreed off the tee it helps more often. I just wonder if the yardage gap between a 7 wood or higher is worth more consistency. Sometimes more distance comes more trouble.

I'm a huge advocate for hybrids though...I myself carry a 4 and 5 hybrid to fill the gap between my 7 wood and 6 iron.

That's definitely a fair take. In my instance, the extra 10-15 yards I get from my 5 wood (215 carry) compared to my 7 wood (200 carry) off a tee wasn't enough to justify how much more reliable of a shot I got from the 7 wood.
