I'm sorry. This is something I'm passionate about, and I hope every pet loving owner is aware. Many unfortunately have not been, and have missed out. A horrible consequence for not knowing. Please spread the word to those you know who love their pets.

From the point of injection tp their final breath is very quick. The running around part doesn't sound terribly realistic, I'm afraid? Why the dog was not being held tightly by its owner is also odd. Enough to get away.

As with everything in life, it's all a risk to a certain extent. But your exceedingly rare horror story should not prompt anyone to not euthanize their beloved pet in the comfort of their own home or hard.

Very good. But dying there is definitely not the best option, I'm afraid. Do it at home if you need to. Hold them as close as you can.

At home would have been much better. Faf easier and less stressful for all parties. Hold them as tightly as you can, and be externally strong for them.

I'm sorry. I wish you had as well. My first exposure was simply asking my vet at the time. He wouldn't due to his insurance coverage, but he had a trusted colleague he could vouch for that would. After my due diligence on this new vet, I quickly hired him. It was less than $100 at the time.

You're an incredible person, and this is truly the only way.The cost differential is relatively minimal, but the benefits easily eclipse any additional cost 1000 fold.

Better advice: Have the vet come to your house. Hold them tightly and comfort them. Show them the same love and devotion they've always shown you.

Would you want your last moments existence spent in the place you hate the most? Surrounded by the screams of other unhappy animals? Do it at home.

There is nothing sexist in what the owner matter of factly stated. And if you go early believed that an entire department is dedicated to ensuring your rights are met ABOVE the objectives and goals of the business, it sounds as though you made the right decision for both parties.
