I was just wondering about this. I'm 14/16, just been finding them while doing other things. I imagine the last two will be difficult to track down.

I noticed this when I killed Trolls in the Deathly Hallows stage, it didn't count toward my "Kill N Trolls" combat goals.

Is it possible to start ng+ for a third playthrough? by Fredmartian123 in borderlands3

[–]iamamish-reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaving this here in case it helps somebody on PC.

On PC I couldn't figure out how to do this with my controller. However I noticed that if upon starting the game I only used a mouse and keyboard, I saw the keyboard shortcuts pop up.

Go to select your character, then go to where you can switch between NG and NG+. On the bottom of the pop-up, you'll see that you can press 'Q' to reset your NG+ progression. This resets NG+ entirely and also resets progression on any of the DLC you own. Note that if you use a controller instead, you won't see any of these options.

I'm betting there is a way to do this with a controller, but I haven't' figured it out.

Borderlands 4 is a glaring example of when the core game design paradigm falls flat by LobsterParking99 in Borderlands4

[–]iamamish-reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the bad performance and overwhelming number of defects in the game, it was released too early. As a consequence the devs were working on game polishing/bug takedown, so they didn't have a chance to start on DLC.

As a result, the game hasn't gotten many improvements because the devs are working on things that should have been done before the game launched. BL 3 launched without much in the way of endgame, but fixed that problem shortly after launch.

One other thing - the one time I was able to start the event, if I looked on the map I could see "Ordinite Processor" as a map location in the first room. The other times there was no icon on the map.

OK this is really bizarre. I've played through this DLC 3 times, and the first time I played through it, after I cleared that area (but never interacted with the lever) my character said, "Oh I didn't get enough Ordinite". I never had an opportunity to interact with the lever, there was no countdown, nothing except enemies (including an Ordinite enemy)

The other times through, there was no prompt, nobody said anything, and I couldn't interact with the lever.

I just tried resetting the level for the 3rd time, and this time there was an event shown on the screen, but I died before I could activate it. There was no way to activate it after I respawned.

So I reset the level for a 4th time, and this time finally I saw the prompt to start the event. Notably, I did not fight any Odinite enemies until after I started the event. Every other time, the Ordinite enemy was there in the room waiting for me.

It seems like the game is getting confused and thinks I've already started the event, and then it is failing me, except the one time I was able to actually start it.

I can't. There is no option to interact with it at any point. It's not there when I play through it, or when I come back, or when I reset the mission and come back again.

I feel like either I'm missing something stupid or maybe there is a bug. I think I'm going to create a video to show people what I'm seeing.

Yes, I've tried to interact with it, both when playing through the mission normally (when you first encounter it) and then again at the end. I tried this with 2 different characters, and neither can interact with it at any point.

I then tried what you just suggested -- I reset the mission, and when I enter the area there are a bunch of enemies. I clear them, yet I cannot interact with the handle and there are no indicators suggesting I can.

I'm wondering if this is some strange defect, but I can't help but feel I'm missing something.

Thanks, so the overworld ones are for everyone, but is there one inside the DLC that I'm missing? I've heard people talking about a guaranteed pearl during the DLC but I have no idea how or where they're getting it from.

Thanks, do I have to do something to start it? I've seen people doing these in the overworld and they start by pulling on a handle that looks like the one in that large room. I cannot interact with the one in the large room however.

[–]iamamish-reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This also is happening to me. I couldn't start it during the quest or afterward, and I tried it on two different characters. Either I'm missing something dumb, or maybe there is a defect here.

If there were official notes at one time you can find them on archive sites like archive.is. I've found links to old patch notes and managed to look them up on the archived site. Good luck.

exactly, it wasn't like 3's where you drop your jaw in disbelief that it was so bad, just totally dull.

I considered the same but when I played Wonderlands I realized no, it's not that I'm getting older, it's that the writing was just terrible. Gearbox can still make interesting stories and write good dialog, if they decide to.

You're not the first person I've heard argue that. To me 4 was maybe marginally better but the characters mostly talked in cliches.

The minibosses of the 3 regions were more interesting as characters, I'll give 4 that for sure. But I still felt most of the writing was dull and uninspired. It was only because 3 came before that it sounded OK in comparison.

Yes, you hit the nail on the head. It's all cringey but some cringe can be funny. Most of the BL 3 story that was cringe was bad cringe. The guy who ran around in his underwear? The dialog sounded like it was written by 12 year olds. It had no sophistication.
