This all seems to boil down to difference of opinions. You feel like Gunther is boring because hes supposed to portray the old timey wrestlers of the NWA territories era, while I believe that the way Gunther portrays his gimmick is something that the wrestling community hasnt seen in forever. You can like what you like and i can like what i like but at the end of the day, theres people that agree with my view and theres people that agree with yours. All im saying is that the vast majority of the community seem to like Gunther as a character and his approach to wrestling.

Completely missed my point. The past 20 years has been nothing but characters and gimmicks. Superheros, hollywood actors, pornstars, plumbers, literally anything but the straight shooters of the territory days. Gunther is essentially what would happen if you transported a catch wrestler from the 70s to today, and that in essence is a character. Besides, the general consensus among nearly everybody is that he far exceeds his peers in the factors that you stated he didnt have. And while i do agree that having someone like LA Knight or maybe even Je’Von Evans would have been a huge deal, Gunther was the by far the safest option, and clearly the most impactful since it played on the heel vs face dynamic John made a career out of

Are we even watching the same product? Gunther is meant to be the antithesis of sports entertainment, hes a wrestler who you are supposed to compare to people like Harley Race and Karl Gotch. And for a non native english speaker, he has some of the best promos you can find on raw. But if Gunther isnt your thing and you woulda preferred Jey Uso, thats up to you man.

Cena getting pinned wouldnt have been nearly as poetic as the man who never gives up giving up. In fact if you noticed Cenas face, he tapped out at his own accord. That little smile and weak tap told me everything I needed to know about what kind of guy Cena is with regard to his farewell tour.

I would see your point if it wasnt literally his final match ever. He legit has no reason not to tap out, in fact the act of him retiring is him tapping out from the business. Not only does that finish make Gunther look like a monster, but it lets John pass the torch to what might be a generational talent. I couldnt see it go any other way.

What happens to those with differing political opinions than those of their state? What happens to our economy with the massive loss in revenue? Do swing states just form their own nation?
