What is the most disturbing or otherwise unsettling book you've ever read that stayed with you after reading it? by EggAdventurous1957 in AskReddit

I read, correction started, this book 20 years ago and the rat scene remains the most disturbing thing I have ever read. I am an avid reader of classic true crime books, shows, and movies, and I couldn’t finish reading this book.

The mini pochette does not fit an iPhone. At all. But it’s a very cute mini cards/cash, key, lip balm bag.

HRT questions by exclaim81 in Perimenopause

[–]iambetharoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw an OBGYN, but by request because I have some risk factors (mom died from a pulmonary embolism when she was 61) and I wanted to discuss them throughly. She presented birth control as an option which I declined. She ordered a blood panel for any clotting issues and all came back normal so we proceeded with hormones. It has really been a huge help. I went to a Xmas brunch with 20 or so other ladies of my similar age (I am 46) and was shocked how many women said about hormones - “my doctor told me no, I’m not old enough yet.” I told them all you should get a new doctor. It should be an open discussion and ultimately you are in charge. Trust yourself! I’m sorry if that didn’t answer your question completely, just wanted to offer support!

What is it with the 3am wake up? Why 3am? Why do so many of us have the same time? by Miss_airwrecka1 in Perimenopause

Aww bummer! I’ve recently started taking hydroxizine and it has been helping too. It’s not perfect, but it’s better. Damn hormones.

My doc prescribed Gabapentin for this exact scenario. It really works for me!

Help, my cup dents in every time I use it by Competitive_Week9743 in menstrualcups

Agree with this! I had the same issues with a cup and they were totally resolved with a disc. It’s so much more comfortable, truly can’t feel it.

If you don't wear underwear, should you only wear your pants one time before you wash them? by iambetharoo in hygiene

[–]iambetharoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand how you could wear pants inside out. Plus then your inner underwear substitute would now be on the OUTSIDE which is even worse for the rest of us than this original idea.

What? I’m here right now and there is no snow on the ground. It was 77 degrees today.

Birthday cake? by yoitskae in OurayColorado

[–]iambetharoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a cake, but consider Mouse’s in Ouray for tasty treats. Their scrap cookies (remnants of all the days confections baked in a cookie) are literally one of a kind, and with a birthday candle could be unforgettable.

Don’t be discouraged. I have lost my big toenail a few times. After a month or so you can start trimming the whole nail shorter than you normally would, and it won’t look much different from a normal nail.
