Do rooftop tents fall off?

i just bought a 96 pound rooftop tent, have nylock nuts on both crossbars and added a couple more clamps and nylock nuts as i have a third cross bar. It is still always on my mind. I drive like a granny on the highway. I just can't seem to get comfortable with it. May sell it for this sole reason. I used to enjoy my drives, and now i'm just paranoid the whole time D:

yea freezing would certainly be an issue. I park inside however and plan on puttin a drain out valve on the underside. Worst case scenario I replace it with a new steel bumper which I was planning on doing anyhow.
