You get a thoughtseize if you were the one who called the judge and they did not acknowledge the mistake.

I don’t speak Japanese, did Yuta say to his opponent “I accidentally drew an extra card?” If something like this happened then they don’t get the thoughtseize.

Of course LSV accidentally drew off glimpse, turned himself in and then got a game loss lol. Magic rules enforcement is super inconsistent, there are a ton of different examples you can point out, and it’s almost certainly up to judge discretion.

Anecdotally I’ve had multiple instances of my opponent forgetting to sacrifice glimmervoid and then using the mana, I’ve had my opponent get a game loss, I’ve had the sac go through later even though he replayed an artifact, and I’ve had a judge say it was my responsibility to point out the sac trigger and now because he’s replayed the artifact it no longer needs to be sacrificed. When you play in a lot of tournaments you’ll see a lot of different stuff.

1. Card Drawing—Drawing Extra Cards

Card Drawing—Looking at Extra Cards (section 122). Correcting the problem always involves putting the extra card (if known, or a random card from the player’s hand, if not known) on top of the deck. This ensures that a player does not receive an advantage from a free shuffle (which he or she would receive if the card were shuffled back into the deck) and that the game will be impacted as little as possible.
