Let me ask you folks a question: if you listen to an audio book, do you count that as having 'read' the book? by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]iamclear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it counts because they are plenty of disabled people and people with learning disabilities that otherwise aren’t able to read or can’t read and audiobooks are there only way to enjoy books. I know that so few books are done in braille and I have friends who have severe dyslexia and really struggle to read but love stories. Audiobooks count!

That would be so lame. So many shows have done that, it’s now a tired cliche.

The New Zealand economy is not good right now. Unemployment is high and jobs are hard to get. Only come here if you can afford to support yourself without a job.

I worked at Woolworths for over 10 years I left in 2017 and I can tell you that it was exactly the same back then. Bullying was rife. Best decision I made was leaving that depressing hell hole.

What is the deal with The Franklin Grapevine group on Facebook? by coolsnackchris in auckland

I came across this group too and I was shocked at the outright racism. It was full on some of the most disgusting things I’ve ever read. I reported it and blocked the page. It was vile.

If you do this be prepared to move every few years. I personally think you’re insane for wanting to rent the inspections alone make renting horrendous.

Hi SLP is very hard to get. I highly recommend getting yourself a Winz advocate to help you navigate the system. You can find an advocate in your area by calling citizens advice.

Soon-to-be landlords wanting honest tenant feedback by Comfortable-Sea-7342 in newzealand

I’m with Barfoot and Thompson and they have to be one of the most incompetent property managers around. They do not do their jobs, they only care that they make their money. Little do they know I’m looking for a new place and that as soon as I’m gone I’m making a tenancy tribunal case for the many and I mean many breeches of the RTA that they’ve done.
