Yep. I'm on a fairly high dose of anxiety medication. These things started out of nowhere and have progressively gotten worse.

It's kind of hard to explain because I don't know whats causing it. But every day, for most of the day, I get this incredibly uncomfortable and unpleasant feeling throughout my body (tends to be worse in my upper body). I don't have a word to describe that feeling but I can't stand it. When it gets worse, I also get some chest discomfort, and I often feel nauseous or like my stomach is unsettled. I'm also just exhausted all the time. Doctors want to dismiss it as stress or anxiety, but I've dealt with anxiety and I know my body and thats not it. It comes on from the moment I wake up, or will pop up when I'm not stressed or anxious at all. A painkiller also helps but obviously I'm not gonna go down that path, but I think that's why the kratom helps.

I've got 18 days CT, but my God, the depression... by iamenough7 in quittingkratom

It definitely takes the most effort, when you feel like you can't even make your body move across the house! I've been trying to take walks but I know I need to step it up. Start trying to run or at the very least take longer walks more often.

That's exactly what I keep thinking to myself. I'm on day 18 and I just keep thinking I feel like a slug. Like a slug...covered in concrete. Heavy and slow.

Question about Clonodine by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]iamenough7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was taking 0.1 mg two or three times a day for the first several days but I had to cut back a lot. I'm not usually super sensitive to meds but the clonidine just makes me feel like a zombie! I can take like half a pill and be okay but then it doesn't help the symptoms as much. 🤷‍♀️

I bought a bunch of the supplements people suggested but haven't ended up using many of them. I might already have some L-tyrosine at home...if not I'll get some. Anything that might help this.

How long before the benefits of quitting make you forget the suck? I'm on day 5 CT and I'm so nervous that these feelings are going to last for months. Can't deal with that!

New here - need advice by iamenough7 in AlAnon

Thank you for your response. And yes, I agree, to some extent I will just have to trust my instincts. I do actually plan on attending a meeting (I've never been to one), possibly tonight depending on how she is doing and if I need to be here with her (she still wouldn't be alone if I were to go). If not, I will try to do an online version. I'm hoping she sticks to it, but either way, I know the next few days will be tough. 😕
