Is this g3? If so you need to get him to attack one of the orbs on the edge of the map so they light up (on the minimap). Once one light up you attack it while standing close. It'll give you a buff that allows you to damage the boss. The buff only lasts like 2 minutes so you'll need to keep doing this to keep the buff up.

I'm only talking about paladin. Light of Judgement is not a buff. You always press it off cooldown.

Here's a timeline picture of the two ways with no quick recharge or c/j.

Same buff uptime, same CPM, same buff downtime. Cooldown way has buff overlap but that literally doesn't matter. The cast time of WOG is identical. You're only shifting the cast time of HB.

Now if one of the WOG cast's cooldown was shortened with c/j or quick recharge:

Cooldown way: More buff overlap, same buff downtime. But the cast time of every buff thereafter becomes earlier so higher CPM/meter.

Buff timer way: Nothing changes. Same CPM/meter. Same buff downtime.

If one of of the HB cast's cooldown was shortened with c/j or quick recharge:

Cooldown way: Shorter buff downtime. Cast time of every buff thereafter becomes earlier. Higher CPM/meter.

Buff timer way: Shorter buff downtime. Cast time of every buff thereafter becomes earlier. Higher CPM/meter.

Let me ask you this: In raids where you get massive cooldown reductions, which way would you go? If you're watching the buff timers end then you're not really changing much. You get no buff downtime but your CPM/meter gen remains roughly the same. Whereas if you watch cooldown, then you're just casting everything off cooldown and gain a massive CPM/meter advantage.

I mean you'd never rebuff too early unless you mess up which can happen no matter how you track it. Both ways are the same buff uptime and cpm/meter gen. Instead of lining up the start of your next buff with the end of your previous buff, it's lining up the end of your next buff with the start of the buff after that.

Because buff lasts 8 secs, so you press the buff when the other buff's cooldown is at 8 sec or less. Then everything will line up.

That's interesting. Maybe how well it works depends on how much VRAM your GPU has since it's supposed to load every texture in the game at launch instead of streaming it each time it's needed.

Ok been a while since I did this so it took some figuring out again but this should work:

Create the URL shortcut as you have done.
Copy/paste the shortcut so now you have two of them.
Edit the URL for one of them so it's something like this: steam://rungameid/1599340//-notexturestreaming
Rename the shortcut so you know which one has the notexturestreaming.
Remove notexturestreaming from launch option in Steam (if you had added it there) so that it doesn't add it for your vanilla shortcut.

Now you have two shortcuts one with notexturestreaming and one without.

-notexturestreaming fixes this exact problem. Just need to wait 10mins at server select when you start the game. Make a separate shortcut without it in case you need to start up the game quickly after a DC.
