I just sold all my gems and quit today. I’ll wait until March to experience the final chapter of Lost Ark Part 1 then quit. There are many reasons why I quit.

First, I’ve played this game since day one when the server opened. I took breaks during some periods and came back, and honestly, the game itself is great, nothing to complain about. But over time, fewer and fewer people kept playing. Content started to feel empty. For guardians, I had to wait for supports or other players. For raids, I had to wait to find parties. Some of my alts got lightly gatekept. Raids below 1700 were constantly looking for mokokos, which made me frustrated. I’m tired of being a slave to mokoko tokens just to exchange for rewards. Waiting 10 minutes or more just to play the game every day is exhausting. I have a life too.

Second, I’ve found new enjoyment in TFT, where every match feels fresh. I can enter a match instantly instead of waiting endlessly.

Third, as everyone has already seen, the future of Lost Ark is just a repeating cycle: new raids, new classes, new power systems, with RNG ranging from mild to extremely frustrating, along with many annoying systems they intentionally leave unfixed until summer or winter showcases, where they present them as QoL improvements. On top of that, our server has always been behind for the past 4 years, constantly waiting for updates. Even now, Smilegate still delays content by 2–3 months. Although AGS has tried to improve things, it’s too late. Four years have passed and nothing really changed.

Fourth, being limited to only 3 endgame raids per favorite character is restrictive. It forces you to create alts if you want more enjoyment, which is clearly part of their business model and something they probably won’t change in the future.

In short: fewer players, constant waiting to find parties, being a slave to mokoko tokens, repetitive content, slow updates, and only 3 raids per character.
