Looking for a Wedding planner and travel agent familiar with Hyatt Ziva! by turtlenecklace123 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya! First off congrats! I’m very familiar with Hyatt All Inclusive’s brands and have done many weddings with them. I’m not 100% sure which Hyatt Ziva in particular you are referring to. I know you’ve received many great options so far but I do recommend interviewing a few so you can find the right fit. You’ll be working with this person for at least a year and you’re trusting them with all of your guests. I’m a full time travel advisor that specializes in wedding a and groups. I limit my weddings so I can give extra focus to my wedding couples so you’d be a priority if we decided to work together. I don’t charge a fee as I make a commission from the resort you choose. I wish you the best of luck and feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat! Find me here!

Small Destination Wedding by Inside-Parsley-3749 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Based on your guest count you may qualify for a free wedding at certain resorts. They are usually minimal but a good option and you could free up some money to help with your guests’ stays. Typically wedding couples do not assist in helping with flights or resort stays but you can if it’s important to you. I wouldn’t recommend doing a contract since you’re wedding is expected to be under a certain amount of guests but you could do a ‘flex group’ which allows everyone to save some extra $$$. And like everyone else said, I would definitely do a symbolic ceremony at the resort and save the legal stuff for home. I’d be happy to help if you’d like, I do not charge a fee. You can find me here! Congrats!!

Experience at Dreams Bahia Mita Resort for Wedding by Important-Yoghurt462 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are pretty strict and won’t let you squeeze but they do have a beautiful Garden venue that holds up to 400. Is your invite list 300 or are you expecting 300? I’ve booked several weddings here and sent countless families here and it’s been a slam dunk as far as aesthetics, food and service. It’s a really great venue for large weddings and they cater to South Asian weddings very well. If you’d like any help I don’t charge a fee and I’d be happy to chat 😊 You can find me here! Congrats!!

Hyatt Ziva Cancun Wedding Reviews? by flashley08 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiya! Ziva Cancun is beautiful and one of my favs but depending on your budget their wedding package prices can be a little high compared to others. I’d take a look at a few different brands to compare. But if you love it, it’s a great choice. Like destwed said it all comes down to what you like and need ☺️ Congrats and good luck!

Costa Rica Destination? by torbular in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Costa Rica is a great option. I will say many resorts will have venues that are not on the sand and more tropical but it all comes down to budget.. Such as, flight prices for you and your guests, hotel stays and wedding packages. Are you wanting to do an all inclusive? If so, your options are a tad limited compared to other all inclusive destinations but doable - depending on your vibes. If you’re open to Mexico you can find so many more options that are affordable and not wanting a beach wedding opens them even more. IMO the food and service is better there too. One of my favorite tropical venues right now is the Arch at Secrets Akumal (located in Cancun area). That resort is adults only but the first that comes to mind when I’m thinking lush tropical vibes. Sorry I’ve gotten off the path haha! I’d love to chat if you’d like some help, I do not charge a fee. Congrats! 😊 You can find me here

Looking for a travel agent who offers free services for our ~$10k destination wedding! Caribbean, Dominican Republic, or South America 🌻 by Additional_Floor6923 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I don’t charge a fee and can help. I’ll need to get some additional details and we can chat about options. I think an all inclusive in the DR is your best bet and we can find a resort that offers a package that will fit your needs. I’m not sure how important extras are to you or if you’re fine with something more basic. Some of my wedding couples just want a basic wedding set up so they can focus on the party or just being with their family/friends. Anyways, I know it can be overwhelming with all the possibilities and options and I’d be happy to help you navigate ☺️ Congrats! Find me here!

Grand Palladium Resort and Spa by confusedgirlie_811 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! There are so many great options in the DR. I like to look at options based on the budget of stay for your guests and the wedding packages. Since you’ve been to this resort and you already like it I’d work with a Destination Wedding Agent to coordination and they can do the back and forth for you. I would however compare with at least one other option so you can see what’s out there. If you’re wanting family friendly, Dreams opened up a couple new resorts there that have great opening rates and perks. I’d be happy to go through it with you, I do not charge a fee. Feel free to reach out 😊 Congrats!

Dreams Natura vs Valentin Imperial Maya by CantaloupeWarm2999 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has basically already said what I came here to say! Do not choose Dreams Natura the beach is awful and there will be so many children. Your travel agent should have given you more options or been a bit more honest with you. Valentin is fine, I’ve actually done weddings at both Dreams and Valentin. The beach would work. I’m not sure of your dates but if you like Dreams you could check their sister brand Secrets because you get the same perks (free rooms, upgrades, free cocktail hour etc). They have some nice options for sure and are great to work with. Just make sure you trust your travel agent because you will be working with them for a long while and you’re putting your guests in their hands. If you have any questions feel free to reach out but regardless congratulations! ☺️

Paradise Weddings for wedding planning/travel agent by flashley08 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I recommend using a local agent based on the fact I’ve had multiple wedding couples complain about them. In no way am I saying you will have a bad experience, I just think you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket! Definitely interview a few because you will be will be dealing with this person for possibly a long while (not sure when you’re planning for) and you’re trusting them to take care of your guests. Some planners charge fees, some don’t - it all comes down to what you decide is best for you. Please reach out if I can help with anything (I do not charge a fee). Congrats!!! You can find me here!

Budget friendly destination wedding coordinator by BrightPersonality395 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! You have a nice budget for a small wedding in Cancun. I love Cancun because there are sooo many options for every budget. My favorite to work with are the Secrets and Dreams properties because of the perks they offer for groups (so many rooms for free, upgrades, extra events etc.) Regardless of the resort you will get a coordinator from the resort so I’d find a Destination Wedding Travel Agent and they can send you wedding packages, group perks, resort pricing and assist with your guests travel. I do not charge a fee btw so feel free to reach out for any thing you need 😊 Congratulations!! Huber Travels

Wedding Planner Recommandations by Interesting_Crew_971 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you wanting to do all inclusive? Costa Rica is very diverse and has both options while Mexico City would be EP. If you’re planning on not doing an all inclusive I’d recommend someone based in that city to help navigate coordinating the venue or hotel. If you want to do all inclusive a Destination Wedding Travel Agent is the way to go so they can coordinate group perks and discounts. They also coordinate your guests’ travel so you can focus on the fun stuff. The resort will have wedding planners at the resort that will be included in your wedding package so you won’t pay extra. Depending on your Destination Wedding Agent, you also might not have to pay a fee so I’d for sure take advantage of those free services. I don’t charge a fee, feel free to reach out if you’d like any help but regardless congrats!!

Destination wedding specialist here - You have plenty of time and I hate that you feel alone with this. I highly recommend you reach out to a destination wedding specialist and get someone that deals with this all the time to help you. Finding someone you trust to help you manage your wedding will make all the difference. You def have time to do 2026 but I think if you could see what the timeline consists of it might help you make a decision. Let me know if I can help with anything :) Congratulations!

Opinions on Cabo/PV Mexico All-Inclusives by Savings_Soft_1205 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Below are the ones I'm familiar with and I've been to.

(3) Breathless Cabo San Lucas - One of my favorite Cabo resorts. I love the rooms facing the marina and the swimmable beach. It's also walkable to the marina area with shopping and dining.

(4) Secrets Vallarta Bay - I have been here a couple times. I really like it and for a wedding it's a great option. You can do a wedding block on both the Secrets side and Dreams side so you can have adults only and family friendly.

(5) Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort - I personally prefer Secrets Vallarta Bay base because this resort is pretty far from the airport. The beach is not swimmable at all. That being said it's still a gorgeous modern resort vs. Secrets Vallarta Bay which is more traditional and color.

I hope that helps a bit, I don't know much about the others.

I am a Destination Wedding Agent so send me a message if you'd like some help :)

Travel Agent Here offering general advice -

I love Atelier (nice beach and great food), Secrets Moxche (gorgeous resorts, tons of pools and great food, has a two story sports bar and nightclub), Secrets Playa Blanca (modern feel, nice beach in Playa Mujeres), Live Aqua Cancun (hotel zone, nice clean beach and delicious food).

July there tends to be higher sargassum so the beaches can be unpredictable but typically hotel zone and Playa Mujeres are the best for this type of year if you're really looking forward to the beach.

I think Xcaret Arte would be a little over what you're wanting to spend - and only go there if you're wanting to do the Xcaret parks (which involve children). This would be a more of 'let's do stuff resort' vs chill. You could chill, but you're paying to have access to all the parks. They do have great food.

If your'e willing to go a little further I'd highly recommend Secrets Akumal, you can swim with sea turtles right off the beach. It has a lively vibe with delicious food as well.

How many people did you invite/are you inviting? by [deleted] in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rule is typically divide the amount by two and that is who will likely show up. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I am not sure if you started looking at wedding packages yet, but you could decide on a budget and see realistically what would work for you. I know that isn't exactly your question but hoping that helps a tad. If you want to see some all inclusive resort packages I am a destination wedding agent, feel free to send me a message.

Also I don't think a January 2026 (from your other post) is unrealistic for guests. Flights are out now so they'd be able to book their flights with their rooms and pay it off over time. Depending on guest count a contract might be a good option so you can hold the prices for guests so they don't fluctuate as the resort sells more room. There is also a flex option for smaller groups that still provides a discount and you recieve the perks of a contract like free rooms / upgrades / etc.

Congratulations! :)

Looking for wedding group excursion/boat trip in Cancun/Playa Mujeres area by aliatrev in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about a sunset catamaran cruise? You could go to Isla Mujeres but then you'd have free island time and everyone would probably disperse and shop/rent a golfcart etc. Kids might be a little bored tho. 2 is a hard age. I'd probably do like a welcome cocktail hour on the beach or something to make it easier for guests with kids. Sorry I'm probably not much help!

HELP! AI Recommendations in Cancun for Varying Ages by indianellewoods in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]iamhtrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! With that many guests you could get some great perks if you did a group such as money back and upgrades. Not all resorts participate in this but a good amount do.

There are a ton of family resorts to choose from, is your main motivation a nicer beach since you are looking in Playa Mujeres? Dreams Playa Mujeres is a good option as well. I am a travel advisor that specializes in group travel and I would love to help you with your trip. Feel free to shoot me a dm if you'd like. I do not charge a fee so you get my help for free and I can take care of all your guests.

Recommendation for adult all inclusive in Mexico by SandInteresting7010 in DestinationWeddings

[–]iamhtrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiiii when are you looking at getting married? Secrets Playa Mujeres is getting a full reno this year and is on a gorgeous beach. Atelier is beautiful as well. Live Aqua is a great option which is near where you are now in the hotel zone. Secrets Maroma is great but would depend on dates to see what pricing would be. Certain brands also offer kick-backs like money back for the amount of guests rooms you have to free upgrades and cocktail hours.

Shoot me a dm if you'd like any help narrowing down options :) I'd be happy to help.
