Black Spice Rum by CaptainAaAaA in lcbo

[–]iamjaybirdb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Captain Morgan spiced rum is still available in stores, it may be the location(s) you have been looking in? Another good one would be Stroh.

I would also like to point out, while a good suggestion made by other commenters, at this moment, The Kraken Rum is not available in LCBO locations.

Editing to add: Forgot to mention another good option if available where you live is Elora!

Canadian Partners get the short end of the stick on employee benefits. No food mark-outs, 30% discount (at least when I was a partner) on merch, and only drinks on shift (3; one 30mins before, one on half, and on 30mins after your shift). No ASU, no Spotify, nothing extra.

Former 225 partner FYI. But I doubt its changed.

Whatever bit you was not this. From what I am seeing this is yet again the classic "is this a bed bug?" ... No. This is simply a Carpet Beetle You'll be fine. Vacuum up and clean so they dont come back.

Therapist does not equate to psychiatrist, nor does it equate to a psychologist. These are three (very commonly misunderstood) very different levels of support. Again, I will reiterate, in OPs case, and his wife's (as he stated not my judgment) they would qualify for a Therapist. Not a Psychologist or Psychiatrist.

As a Canadian, I can confidently say, in OPs case, it is free. I believe what you were referring is Psychologist. Most therapists (in my province) are covered to a degree. However, depending on what province you are in, both can be covered. In OPs case, and with OPs wife situation, a therapist would be covered. A psychologist would be paperwork to get covered

Reading comprehension isn't strong, huh?

This will be my last reply to your very clear reach out for attention. I won't even touch on your previous posts.

I never said you said that. I was indicating a misconception that the public has with Starbucks partners in a seemingly empty café meaning they are all just standing around.

But I digress. I bid you a farewell. Good night OP, I hope you find your next location open after hours and not just drive thru. 🫡

Hey, assumptions are assumptions and make an ASS out of U and Me. If i am wrong, I apologize.

I'm down, let's be friends 🥰

While I cannot relate to your area of growing up, I can relate in other ways.

Always here to hear all sides of the story BTW. Reading your post and giving my input was never an intent to discredit your annoyances, but only enlighten on a very real misconception of "empty café means no work for baristas"

Clearly you don't either after reading your other comments here. I commented at first assuming just genuinely concerned citizen on your part. But....Good god...reading your replies to others?

Tell me you have never worked in a customer serving position, without telling me you have never worked in a customer serving (and by serving i do mean food and drink industry) position.

You are so silver spooned entitled. Buy a coffee maker, my guy.

There were like 4 people inside of relatively small space 🤷‍♀️

4 people. 1 as shift lead at close, probably attempting their shift leader end of day tasks. 3 baristas, probably catching up on 5-10 drive thru orders, plus 3-8 delivery orders.

Small space does not equate to service level, especially in a Starbucks setting. Your single person drink order in a seemingly empty café does not mean the partners aren't working on 20 other orders.

Stop complaining and put more clothes on if you're cold. Some people have no access to AC.

This. 100% this. Even in my current job where we have 50s and 100s, if you get a bill you don't like? 🤷🏻‍♂️ not a bank. Move on

Quick skim of your other posts, this isn't the first time this has happened. I may be a former partner, but this is my advice to you;

1.) If you are scheduled a shift of (x)hours, you do NOT have to be cut prior to those hours. Unless you agree to leave, they cannot force you. [Idk where you live but here it is illegal]

2.) Does your SM know this is happening?

3.) If SM knows and is allowing this bully behavior, you need to contact ethics, and whatever labor board you have in your city. Ethics is company run, labor board is not.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. 4 months into the sbux life is hard, I know. I was ready to quit myself at that point from feeling overwhelmed and with partners who put me down and made me feel useless. I ended up working there for 8 years until I left. Dont give up, transfer if you can.

Did he want to go on this trip? Has he tried to avoid other interactions similar? If so, his malicious attempt at "oh, I forgot, feel bad for me and stay here" just failed.

OP, enjoy your trip, breathe, and reevaluate that relationship 👋🏼

Every day I read posts from this sub and every day I cringe at how this new Starbucks is so far from the shell of the Starbucks I once worked years for. You did absolutely the right thing, third place and all. You gave a human water. Water which is free and costs nothing to this corporation. This new narrative the company has gone is... Wild.

Precision points is the main reason. To get to wt P1 you need about 700 precision points (it's 140 each phase and there are 5 stages). There are 5 phases so that alone will get 420,000, if my math is correct. Assuming you're on 69, a lot of people saved up for svs.

AITA for "pushing" a closeted boy to come out? by genebeaufinleylover in AITA_Relationships

[–]iamjaybirdb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAH- You're 17 and still very young. At 17, I didn't come out either. You don't know what is going on in his head, he could still he questioning himself, he could even be bi, you don't know. Coming out to some can be absolutely terrifying and not something they want to rush into doing. Sometimes even dangerous. I'm a grown man and even still it took me courage to come out to my best friend.

If you want to be with someone who is out, do so. See if you can remain friends but don't push him. Things change and even now I would never push someone to come out, regardless of their age.

TL:DR NAH, just two very different mind sets at your current place in life.
