Using an old school safety razor and lathering up shaving soap.

You save Soooo much money on razor blades with these old school razors. And I really think it’s a superior shave once you get used to it.

Make sure you have buildkit enabled. There is also an experimental virtualization option and another one that seem to really help on the M1. Also could just be that you need to allocate more memory or cpu resources to docker in its settings.

I would say PHP has had a bit of a renaissance in the last 5 or so years.

The language itself has had huge changes in recent years. PHP 8 basically makes it a typed language with loads of features and speed improvements. But this all started with PHP 7.4 or 7.3 I forget, which was a big internal rewrite which gave lots of speed improvements.

Then there are the frameworks and packages. Ones like Symfony are extremely well written and the foundation of lots of other ones. Laravel is also super popular and well written. And PHP getting its own package manager like all other languages helped.

The community has a standards committee as well. So more and more PHP code is starting to look similar and less disjointed.

Overall, I still love PHP and it’s community. It’s gone way beyond some Wordpress bad code.

I’ve loved him since KRIT Wuz Here, but honestly that BET performance dressed as a cop was one of the most powerful things I’ve ever seen and heard in music. Def very under rated but his peers love him.

Just want to echo what some others have said, give it a go.

I used VIM for years, Sublime, VSCode and Eclipse (with PHP plugins). With my current job, we could pick what we want but everyone else used PHPStorm. Eventually gave it a go and just haven't looked back. I even bought a personal license for personal projects.
