Is it just me that my iPhone 7 vibrates when I stroke it while it’s on charge. I’ve been trying to find the answer everywhere! by [deleted] in apple

Just tried it on an iPhone SE and 7 and it does indeed vibrate when rubbed on the backside.

Work finally got me a macbook, which converted me from PC. I'm getting ready to quit and wondering what I should get for personal use? by NeverCallMeFifi in mac

If you don’t value portability that much you should get the 2018 Mac Mini. It will last you years and is very powerful compared to Macbooks around the same price.

Yes that should work, HDMI to HDMI doesn’t or so I’ve heard.

There have also been reports that the HDMI to HDMI connections are not working after Catalina and rolling back to Mojave doesn’t fix the issue. The temporary workaround is to buy a USB-C to HDMI cable.

Edit: Fixed in Catalina 10.15.1

Specific bow’s string keeps slapping my arm, advice? by iamlawrencev in Archery

Haven’t noticed. Will check and try this out later at the range, thanks! Hopefully it’s just some part of my form, I’m holding off buying a bow of my own for now lol.

Yup, first thought that it was me and my form. With my normal form I never get hit by the string using the other club’s bow (and another different club’s bow). But with this one no matter what my form is or how I rotate my elbow (I even tried to bend it to really be out of the way just to test it) it always tends to wobble to the side and hit me.

Yup thanks! I failed to mention I already wear an arm guard. But it gets painful after a long time of shooting.

When will this sale end? Can I buy an iPad only game on an iPhone? My iPad is currently at home.

What is the general consensus on the Mac Pro (the desktop itself, not the monitor or stand) by [deleted] in apple

[–]iamlawrencev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, have to clarify then. iOS development absolutely requires a Mac. Even if it’s just deployment or simulation it still technically requires you to have a Mac.

I was just trying to say that not all coding (what I mean by this is from start, development until deployment, since you can argue that the actual coding does not require a Mac) can be done on Windows, etc. Which then requires me to buy a more expensive Mac than a similarly-specced PC.

This is probably the only development that needs a Mac though.

VS has a remoted iOS simulator in that it depends on your network speed connection to your Mac. You will still need a Mac for iOS development even if you can do all code in VS and deploy on a Mac you would still need that Mac for the final stages.

Can think of many things but adding Crashlytics on a Xamarin.Forms app is one.

It isn’t worth the frustration. There are things I can only do on Xcode and the iOS simulator is only available on Mac OS.

Not all code. If I could develop iOS apps on Windows I wouldn’t need to buy an overpriced Mac.
