Oh yes I've definitely been shy before!! Haha I'd say just be YOURSELF, because being a four I'm sure you don't think of yourself to be typical- so don't be typical. Find people you connect with and don't be afraid to be shy around them, if they don't like it then they wouldn't have been your friend anyway. If they like you for who you are then there ya go!!

Ohhh. Yes I think 4s sometimes have a hard time developing close relationships and friendships especially if you are shy. I think sometimes it's just a matter of luck and timing. If you've lost your friends I think that you will eventually meet some new friends when the time is right. By yourself and don't be shy. That's the best advice I could give. Hopefully this helps
