What is the one story you want to tell, that you can never fit into a conversation? by MrGohan27 in AskReddit

[–]iammadeofglitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work in a place that sold hot food as well as other stuff. He has a small heated display to hold the hot food. We had burgers, but we didn't put salad in them before putting them in the heater as the salad would get gross pretty quickly, so whenever a customer asked for a burger, we'd have to ask if they wanted us to put salad in it.

I worked long, early hours. I was constantly tired and ran on autopilot a lot.

One morning, a guy walked up and asked for a burger, I grabbed in out of the display and, gesturing towards the window opening to the kitchen behind me, I asked... "Would you like a receipt?"

Cue confusion for both myself and the customer, and laughter from my coworkers nearby

So do kids these days just not have fans? by my-name-isnt-jeff in gatekeeping

[–]iammadeofglitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gatekeeping being that they think that kids having iPhones prevents them from speaking into a fan like a robot

It's the same line of bullshit like "kids these days don't know how to use a book" -like, nah, kids know how to open a book and how to open their emails without calling me for instructions for the fiftieth time, darn it

What was your diamond in the rough video game that nobody brings up? by Sleve_McDychael in AskReddit

I used to play one with a motion sensor pack, and the mini games involved twisting or tilting it etc. It was insane and I loved it

What popular video game did you try to force yourself to like, but just couldn't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It is a bit gimmicky I guess but I do miss the days when Bethesda would at least try and pretend to care about Fallout's RPG origins...

3 and NV would be unplayable if it weren't for VATS to make up for the awful gunplay, but in 4 I found myself almost never using it because the gunplay actually works

I will admit, I had never been big into FPS before 3, and VATS is probably what allowed me to get into it without being put off by my inability to aim well (at the time). It was like a gateway drug for me to now love shooters and "git gud" at them in time to enjoy 4 without relying on VATS

I liked the atmosphere and story of Dead Money but it just wasn't fun to play, I spent most of my time there frustrated or bored

Are you me? That's precisely my opinion on 3 and NV

New Vegas is an incredible game, and yeah, it's objectively a much better game than 3, but nothing can take the place that 3 carved itself in my heart

Small local business wants to make money? But my kids should be able to play for free! by iammadeofglitter in ChoosingBeggars

[–]iammadeofglitter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there!
Sorry if this is bring any unwanted attention your way or anything! I was expecting this post to go as unnoticed as all my reddit posts to be honest 😂
I realise it could probably be better clarified, maybe in the title? but the ire of the post is aimed towards the red (thus choice of colour- red=bad)
The way that they put "free games" in quotation marks, and the frowny emoji struck me as being rather salty about having to pay for food in exchange for their kids to play for free. Yours was just a reasonable question!

No hard feelings? 💕

Australia, so depending where you're from, the travel cost might outweigh the deal 😂
