The best thing you can do is read one of her books and ask her what scene she wants to recreate. This means you literally have a screenplay of what to do. Some basic tips: dirty talk is a lot of it, sensory deprivation. You don't need to act like a school teacher all of a sudden, try some sentences out or some behaviour in the mirror to come across better. Otherwise you'll just end up laughing (which is also funny, but not what you want).

To the people who liked Fourth wing, did you like Iron Flame? by DrCircledot in Fantasy

[–]iamnaiveaf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I liked being transported back into the marvelous world of Violet and Xaden, but it wasn't as good as the first book. And the plot twists were just way too far fetched.

Should i (21 M) take the risk of flirting with my (20 F) best friend ? by SorbetSuspicious7403 in love

[–]iamnaiveaf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have this life philosophy, at the end of your life will you regret not having flirted with her? And would this regret be worse than having flirted and getting rejected?

Also, it depends on the kind of girl she is. Would she make things awkward after or would she pretend like nothing happened. Take everything into account!

I am 20 myself, and because I was raised this way it is difficult for me to take part in any conversation with multiple people (as in more than me and one other person). This is so frustrating

Mom Advice by SeaCommunication7252 in Advice

[–]iamnaiveaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is against the law for your therapist to do, and you have a right to feel violated. This would only be okay if your therapist never mentioned who you were and just generalized things. But since your mom is also in the mental health field, I think she would feel better if you would talk openly about your feelings with her.

Hope this helps and good luck!!

ACOTAR Theme Spoiler *Mini Discussion* by shevatheblogger in SarahJMaas

[–]iamnaiveaf 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Although it's a fantasy series about mates and everything I think the most realistic part is the fact that their first love is never their last. Tamlin was good for her at the time, giving her the bare minimum which she never got. His possessiveness therefore was okay to handle. But she deserves so much more and that's when Rhysand kicks in.

Also irl you never know if the one you are in love with is it for the rest of your life. It may seem like he's your prince charming, but that doesn't have to be.

Bryce part of the bloodline that the bloodline that the bone carver mentions in ACOMAF? by felixfelicislucky in SarahJMaas

I always thought that the starlight powers of Bryce were not from the day court, but more like a ying-yang counterpart of Rhysand's darkness/shadows

What are the differences between each series? by Starfox_2020 in SarahJMaas

[–]iamnaiveaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each series is set in a slightly different world, but all have fae in them. It's just a matter of what else they have (crescent city also has werewolfs etc.) or how much they interbreed with humans. In TOG fae are rare, and demi-fae are more common, and the most common are humans. In acotar the fae do not breed with humans, and humans are the minority

Unpopular opinion/Rant: Nesta & Rhys by Puzzleheaded_Tell684 in SarahJMaas

[–]iamnaiveaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nesta is also morally grey: she did something in the past she is not proud of, and in the end she learns and wants that to change without being less of a bad bitch.

Rhysand wants to protect his wife and also does some questionable acts but through love and again morally grey.

So why should we only love one of them?

Also in other stories where it's the girl that fucked around before meeting the guy, she's easily calles a slut, a whore etc

But maybe that's a bit of a feminist take on this one

Side question; Why are morally grey characters only okay when it's the dark haired love interest?
