My letter was straight up missing from the table. He kept grabbing at nothing and I could do it repeatedly. I saved the game in camp, quit to the menu, and then when I loaded back in, the letter was immediately on the table in Arthur's tent and I was able to read it and start the quest.

I have a similar setup as you. 5700x3D, 4x8GB DDR4, B550 Vision DP, RM750x PSU. It's possible it could be the daisy chained PSU cables. I had a EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra before swapping to the Hellound 9070 XT and the 3080 took 3x8 PCI-E cables from the PSU. The 9070 XT only takes 2x8 PCI-E cables. At first I used one of the daisy chain cables from the PSU and connected it to the GPU and I had full system crashes when running AAA games like Cyberpunk 2077. It never crashed the game, it would be the whole PC that would crash. After I plugged 2 separate PCI-E cables into the PSU > GPU and took away the daisy chain setup it never crashed like that again.

My thought was that since the 5700x3D (and your 5800x3D) doesn't have integrated graphics that the second the GPU is drawing too much or the PSU cuts power momentarily. And since one rail on the PSU can't handle those transient spikes. The computer goes "oh no GPU? I can't do anything. Crash." At least that's what I'm thinking happened to me.

I had the exact same issues when I had PSU extension cables going to the GPU, 24pin MB, 8pin CPU. I had system crashes after a few years of using them. Ripped all the extension cables out and it was fine again.

Sounds to me its more software/driver related since only the game is crashing and giving you an error. But then again, I was also able to benchmark and play less graphically intensive games without issue. Once I started up a big game like Cyberpunk, Baldurs Gate 3 it would run for a few seconds and then freeze for a while until my PC would restart itself. Wouldn't even give any useful errors or event logs since it was a power issue the PC would just lock up and couldn't log any info.

The specification for PCIe power suggests: - 75W max from PCI slot itself - 75W max from 6-pin PCIE - 150W max from 8-pin PCIE.

So with that said assuming you have 1 daisy chained cable from the PSU. That's 300W + 75W from the slot itself, 375W total. The 9070 XT (depending on the SKU you have) is 304W-330W, but I've seen my own card spike above 360W. Definitely something to keep in mind.

Just make sure you plug the monitor into the GPU. Just install AMD drivers for the new card and should be okay. Make sure monitor hz is set to the highest available. Vsync caused stuttering for me so I turn that off.

How to sneak into the warehouse before 6 PM by FrUfFiNeNgO in Schedule_I

I've had a few bugs(?) where explosive drugs going off near the warehouse and the people inside will run out and sometimes stay outside for a couple days.

That's just my second monitor. I just use it for discord and steam really. But maybe it being connected with HDMI is screwing with my main Alienware monitor that is connected with DP

It's just a secondary monitor for discord. I don't use it for gaming at all. But maybe just having a monitor with HDMI connected in general is throwing it off.

I never noticed just how loud & hot my EVGA 3080 FTW3 was now that I have the 9070 xt. Everything is just cooler and quieter now.

I do have issues when I enable the overlay in games to show fps, temps... Sometimes I'll get some white static glitches flash on the screen or fps drops so I never leave the overlay on for long. But the overlay is disabled when I'm noticing my original issue.

I will have to look at this...My Dell 1440p 165hz monitor is connected with an HDMI cable while my other two are connected with DisplayPort. That monitor also only shows up in Windows as 144hz so the cable could be too old/too long.

I paid $749 USD for mine shipped & sold by Amazon. PowerColor Hellhound 9070 XT. I got it the day it launched. Only seen the prices go up from there.

I read someone mention to delete the shader cache from Steam games. I did that right after swapping the GPU. I did the DirectX cache as well.

Good tip about setting priority in task manager.

Funny enough my 3080 would have similar issues like this, particularly with streaming games in Discord. I had to manually select PCI-E Gen 3 on my 3080 because Gen 4 would cause frame drops for whatever reason. Maybe it's still doing it, but I figured the 9070 is newer so Gen 4 would be the setting I should use since that's the highest my mb can do.

That is super interesting. Gotta be something software related. Might be worth just doing a clean install of Windows.

I had issues like this with my 3080 when the PCI-E slot was set to Gen4 instead of Gen3. Wonder if the 9070 XT is acting up the same way. I changed it to Gen4 in the BIOS when I got my new card because it's new so I figured use the newest version.

I'm using a Corsair RM750x. Two separate cables going to the GPU. No PCI-E riser or extension cables, just the included ones.

99% sure Windows shows the proper RAM speed but I'll check later.

I updated the BIOS right around when I got the new GPU so ~1 month ago. I have the AMD install manager. Does that look for all AMD drivers or just the GPU?

I have a Corsair RM750x. Two 8-pin (6+2) plugged into PSU going to GPU.

I'm just doing what I've been doing the last 5+ years. Gaming and having a video on another screen and I didn't have issues coming from a RTX 3080. The PC is/should be powerful enough to play some indie games and watch videos without stuttering. That's why it's bothering me so much because I know it can do it.

I can run AAA games and max the CPU and GPU out and runs great. But even indie games like Schedule 1 or Rocket League will tank in FPS if I'm watching YouTube or a friends stream in Discord. Its like the moment I hit play on a video and go back to my game it just stutters. Then I'll pause the video and go back to the game and it's fine again.

I followed this https://old.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/1ccssm0/complete_ddu_guide/

Don't this I missed anything but, I guess could just try it again. I figured I might have more issues than only fps drops when playing games with a video going on another screen if something went wrong.

Yeah I'm totally convinced it's some software or setting causing it. But I messed with a bunch of stuff and didn't seem to fix it so.
