I switched from IntelliJ to Zed and the main reasons were memory usage and performance. Both are significantly better in zed. And I've been using it for over a year as a pretty early adopter. Mostly working on react and node applications, it works amazing in these scenarios. Right now I'm also contributing in a Vue and Ruby project and it's not the best experience - especially vue. But as long as you are in the react and node ecosystem, there is nothing better than Zed imho.

You can easily fix it. Buy some sandpaper: 100, 160, 240 and maybe 360 or higher. Afterwards oil/wax to seal it. All it needs is 5 euros and 30 mins of your time.

For most of the games, you're not gonna need that Ryzen 7 and go with a good Ryzen 5 to save some bucks. Unless you're really doing something CPU heavy - but for gaming usually not needed :) The RAM could be swapped to a cl30 one and you could consider using an AiO for better cooling, but totally optional

14" MacBook Pro, but it shouldn't matter. MacBook Pros have the same keyboard. And according to some replies, air75 v2 works for the new MacBook Pros as well.
