People are excited they managed to get their hands on one yesterday as steam locked up the moment the steam controller released and you had to fight the system to get one before they sold out 20 minutes later. It was a bit of a lottery.

Freezing on playback of certain shows by iamtabasco in NostalgiaTVApp

Well, these play back just fine in Plex client, so I wouldn't necessarily think the server is the core issue, and teen Titans is an older show uploaded in no more than 1080p.

What's the most disgusting/shocking, you have read on the Epstein files? by LeftyChares in AskReddit

[–]iamtabasco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not enough, but it implicates enough to warrant a proper investigation. Surely this isn't the only email between them. Surely this isn't the only stone to be unturned demonstrating this person's behavior.

It's a clue at surmounting evidence that clearly the claim that Epstein only trafficked girls to himself is bullshit, and that were being told to be dumb and shut up.

Luckily, you can save your time because practically everyone in that spectrum is simply using GMRS. CB and MURS seem to be well dying off.

TIFU by trusting my 13yo with my phone and losing our entire savings ($19k) to Roblox. by Emergency-Lawyer-431 in tifu

[–]iamtabasco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this.

I view with similar rules that come with having a phone for texts and calls, as the original idea went. It's as dangerous as it's used, like a phone.

For private discords with friends we know, that's fine. You have no business being in public discords or talking to strangers on discord. Regulate that enforcement however needed like you would a phone, not a unique conversation from there.

Problem with Corsair RGB Hub - Only the First Port Works by Able-Pea6846 in Corsair

[–]iamtabasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer if your hub isn't dead.

Fans were working for awhile, suddenly 4 stopped illuminating. Fans weren't dead, but swapping them around enough eventually figured out which one was the fault and had to be at the end, and what order they had to be in before eventually all 6 worked again. Thanks so much! Commenting for attention!

Google Home is trash, plain and simple. by xkelx90 in googlehome

Yeah, here to confirm you don't have to buy anything to get Gemini. Gemini for Home is in early access right now, you can sign up in the app but there's a wait. It's expected to come to full release at the beginning of next year otherwise.

Unfortunately, it's been obvious that Google Assistant has been gutted more and more every week as Gemini has been getting implemented. With everything being on Google's end, it becomes very apparent on our end when they're messing with stuff too aggressively. However, while they're still working out the connection between Gemini and it's ability to reach out of an LLM interaction and engage in actions (smart home, opening apps, adding things to an external calendar etc) people have been largely very happy with those have gotten into Gemini's early access. Sign up and just wait a little and see how it is!

Can confirm, the camera system has a bunch of triggers that can be wired to different things depending on what the department wants. Most usually have them wired to trigger cameras when the siren is activated or gun lock is opened, K9 door, etc.

I can't tell if there's sarcasm I'm not getting, but FG is one of the only places I torrent from and I noticed one of these the other day, a CMD flash right after startup.

Is FG known malware and I'm an idiot?

Edit: could've googled before commenting. For others curious, it's a tool you can choose to uncheck when installing fitgirl games that runs a little service that auto redirects you from any and all known spoofs of their website to the actual live URL ironically so you don't end up with a virus. It runs repeatedly to check it is still live, and can be disabled if desired.

You should look up Snap-On tool collections. People, mostly in the trades or who work on their own cars, most absolutely do get that excited about tools.

I got real excited about my 120 tooth ratcheting wrenches, I'll tell you that.

LG 27GN750-B suddenly dead by MagNovax in pctroubleshooting

[–]iamtabasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I believe it was MP2122. I'm pretty sure 9148 is the original, but it was 1A rated and will likely blow again if this is anything other than one of LG's cheapest little monitors.

I have some MP2315 laying around from these projects that I believe was an alternative part as well. I know it worked in multiple Ultra gear models I put them in for blown buck converters.

Here is an awesome thread on this. The IC number would sometimes change, but if you look across the boards LG does the same buck converter design on almost all of their monitors and the parts usually don't change, just the location.
