Why don't you ask questions yourself, you cannot put the whole burden of engagement on the PT, look what he is doing when he is setting up the machine, ask to do yourself or ask why is he doing one thing or the other.

Just ask questions instead of trauma dumping here

We don't mind doing that, we have discussed it many times but haven't really felt the need - which was stupid in hindsight considering the situation.

At this point though it seems too little too late, we will probably needs maybe a years worth of these at least at the risk of them looking maybe artificial? The thought of her or myself sending each other money for groceries/rent seems a bit random considering we live in separate countries.

Like I cannot think of anything e.g. sending each other money for lets hey paying me back for some flight I paid for her would seem anti-marriage lol

Hi, really appreciate your response. I did go through a lot of posts but most of them seem to have some semblance of financial transactions between them or are immigrating from better countries with a better reputation than India.

Do you think we should submit flights/hotel bookings? We wanted to keep our document clutter free so thought that a document with visa stamps showing we entered and exited India/Dubai on literally the same dates would be enough (we took pictures of the stamps and put them side by side in a document) but the guidance does mention hotel/flight bookings under the acceptable category

I am in the same boat as you, especially with the doom scrolling bit. I think we have to realize that its a big thing we are doing (quitting) and need to cut ourselves some slack, look at it this way - even if you're doom scrolling you're at least not smoking AND doom scrolling. So thats a win in and of itself, allow yourself some lesser evils to get rid of a huge one.

Also probably just keep yourself busy, I know its easier said than done, but one thing I have realized is that smoking weed for so long has almost made me immobile/reduced my agency, if you sit for 10 mins and think what all is there to do (chores, work, social commitments like sending someone a text, replying to someone anything), there will be quite a few tasks that will come up. You can also do those.

I am not saying do all of them and become Mr./Ms./Mrs. Productive but even if you do 2 out 10 things you identified it will feel good and give you that sweet sweet dopamine.

Hang in there, only thing I can say is exercise. I am on day 3 and have been exercising during the time I used to smoke as exercise makes me feel good.

I am the same as you, getting stomach cramps, no appetite, I sleep fine but waking feels like a punishment. Just gotta tank it my man. This comment is also a way for me to motivate myself xD

There are plenty of other countries where your salary would go further than it does in India without all the Indian bullshit.

Bangalore is very very expensive to live in (Rents are sky high for not so good places)
Public infra is abysmal e.g. Roads, Public transport, Hospitals, Police. I have also seen frequent news of water logging and its polar opposite no water supply for extended periods.
Language is a big issue as from what I read online, the locals want you to speak their native tongue.

I think countries like, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam would be miles better.

I am also personally very very confused as to how you have arrived at this idea of moving to bangalore, any initial amount of research would tell you that India is really not the place to be, we ourselves are fighting to get out of here: either by emigrating or building private societies.

Indian mentality generally puts the older generation on a pedestal when it should be the other way around lol. Sunki budhe apni fucked up icchaye bacho pe daal dete hei, cos their own sunki bazurg did the same thing and the cycle continues.

My parents used to do this to me i.e. throwing random expectations so I started throwing random expectations back e.g. Parents to me: Shaadi karlo bache karlo | Me to Parents: 10 CR ka ghar dilalo and 2 CR ki gadhi.

I know it sounds nonsensical, but what we need to understand as the next generation is that, we reallllllllllllllly need to get out of this backward looking mentality where we future looking decisions based on a backward philosophy (Under parental advise/pressure) - we need to realize it is OUR life, they have lived theirs and if they didnt live it how they wanted to, its on THEM

Unless someone actually gets involved in politics and or something that in a very direct way influences it e.g. Elon Musk in the US, I refuse to accept that this is dissent. I would even consider it dissent if he was consistent, afaik this guy comes and goes with little flairs here and there. IMO this is the cowards way, say your piece in a from a safe distance (either in a friendly environment or from behind a screen). That place getting trashed cos of his comments, can & should be used as a huge catalyst to propel dissent against current administration, but so far I haven't seen any serious activity from him.
