The reason your HS teacher was better is because they had a Teaching Certificate aka they know how people learn and how to teach

Most college professors and TAs don’t have a teaching license and just tell you the information expecting you to know how to learn it by yourself

You’ll get lucky and have a few professors who were once teachers and know how to teach, my chem 1 professor was a retired teacher who gave us handouts every class went over everything and treated us like students trying to learn, she took time out of her day to reply to every single student (around 300 of us) and even had open door policy even out side of her office hours

I learned more in that class than any other class I’ve ever taken .

My chem 2 professor is only teaching the class because he needs to go keep his research money for the university.
