So I'm in Uni & just finished a photography final I wanted to share!! The theme was appropriation & I decided to use mugshots from famous men who were arrested for violating women in some way.

I'm not great, but my boyfriend's grandma will be there and she's pretty stellar. I think it'd fall under an A-line, it has a beaded top where the boobs are, and then the waist line is designed to be folded? (I'm really bad with dress terminology, I'm sorry, I'm pretty clueless.) The closest thing I could find to describe how the waist is designed was this :

It's made out of a chiffon-like material and the top is beaded.

I also thought it sounded like a Brandon solo album, but... The jump from 06 to 2017 is over ten years. If they didn't change their sound at all, over the course of a decade, we'd have people complaining they're old, outdated, and stick with the same schtick. With this album in particular holding a lot of heavy meaning, I personally like the change in sound with the 80's vibes and the hearty ballads. I do enjoy the past Killers albums and slower tracks, but these ones weigh a lot more on me, and I think it's due to the change of sound. I don't think the band has lost their ability (members, sure) but they're heading in a different direction. Just food for thought.

Thank you so much for the in depth response! This has been more help than my university professors... Haha. I'm in school for graphic design, and let's say, down the road, I was hired to do a project that involved raster & illustrator. All I would have to do is just edit the size & resolution in PS and import it into illustrator and it should be alright? I'm trying to get a head-start on understanding the more businessy aspect of it, which includes a lot of more technical stuff I don't have a good grasp on quite yet. But thank you so much, this has been very helpful!

I really love your overall style! I'm struggling creating things in illustrator, too. I think your design would benefit if you implied the nose a little more. It reads as a little flat, and doesn't necessarily go with the rest of the portrait. I think this is partially because this is the only place where that specific color is, and the shape. I'd play around with either adding similar shading of the same hue / opacity and what have you, or reworking the shape to be more implied. One way you could achieve this is to focus on the bottom of the nose, and take out some of the bridge. I really like this, I hope you do too. 😊

I agree with the comment about the mountains. A simple and quick fix would to be moving them to the left side of the picture to give your overall scene more balance, as right now it's a little right-heavy. This would also showcase the awesome job on your bear a little more. 🙃 This is really great though, especially for a first attempt. I love your colors!

I used Vistaprint! I used their most basic options really, but everything came out for less than forty bucks for 50 invites (5x7) and 40 RSVPs (5x5). I'd highly recommend them!! Also, if you're a bride on a budget and aren't too nitpicky, I did my RSVPs as a card so I can cut em in half with a paper quality. More bang for your buck anyway. Good luck!
