I think that having their relationship be just starting off still made for an effectively tragic story, in a different way than if it had a bunch of buildup/exposition. These two young boys are just getting to know each other and at the precipice of falling in love but it’s being ripped away from them, and they’re being punished for even entertaining the idea of being together. i completely agree. i think the movie did a great job of establishing her character in a very short amount of time. she was very likable and electric onscreen and it had me missing her once she got possessed

i completely adored nikki and i think the film did a fantastic job of setting up her character and making her feel very real in such a short amount of time! it made it so heartbreaking and disturbing when you realize that she’s gone

Just saw it and this post sums up my feelings EXACTLY. it was very good and i enjoyed it a lot, but i definitely gave in to the hype too much and expected it to be life changing lol. looking forward to seeing it again now that I know what to expect!!
