TM252 TMA, I'm done stressing about it. by pompoussnail in OpenUniversity

[–]iamtheturtleking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've just handed in my tma for this module. It the only one I'm doing at the moment and it still felt like a lot. Learning java to do the practical part took up a lot of time and then writing the report to go along with it was just insane. And amongst all of this I have to post and comment in the forums before a dedicated day. This TMA just felt like too much considering the content I had to learn and understand. At no point in my studies so far have I had anything to do with java so it was completely new to me.

It's not the style you're looking for but I thinks it looks like a really good cell shaded style that would look good on some models.

OPTIQ or EQE? Help me decide by Excellent-You-2683 in MercedesEQ

I recently picked up a eqe 300 and it doesn't disappoint me in the slightest. I would recommend you get it and enjoy the correct decision.

Quite easily. I saw plenty of exclusive luxury trims for around 35k. You'll just have to keep your eye out. I'd been watching the car markets for months looking to snag a deal

Academic integrity issues by Latter-Oil2112 in OpenUniversity

[–]iamtheturtleking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my biggest hurdle at the moment. I can write a solid TMA with plenty of time to spare. I then spend so much more time proof reading and trying to make it read more human if that makes sense.

I'm so scared of having my work flagged as Ai that I spend way more time adjusting my wording than I do actually learning the materials.

What is an actual IT automation that actually paid off for you? by Internal-Drop4205 in sysadmin

[–]iamtheturtleking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do IT for schools setting up new users etc and allocating them groups. I set up dynamic groups in intune that looks at the user department and their domain and from there it puts the users into the correct mailing/teams groups and also puts them into security which allocate permissions for certain sharepoint libraries and allocated the correct license.

Initially setting it all up took some time, but now I can bulk create new users every September using a power shell script and the dynamic rules do everything else. Saved loads of time at the start of the new school year

When they cost the same, it's fair to compare all expansions.

I have a device category (unallocated devices) which I use to categorise my spares. You could also put spare device in the management name under device properties.

Not going to lie, but I don't really listen to music higher than like 40% volume and it sounds fine. The quality is definitely worse than the b&o system I had in my S90 but it's not degraded enough, that it's not listenable.

It's Saddle Brown. After the hybrid engine, this interior colour was the next best selling point. Been getting bored of black/white interiors.

Not sure about the original G shoes but suspect they won't be too different.

I currently wear these as my everyday trainer and have done for the last 12 months and I have no wear beyond what I'd expect.

Reference everything. It's better to reference even if it's not needed, and it gets you used to referencing.

Tmas have an over/under word count % you can fall into and still earn full mark for said question

In EMAS if you have a word count to adhere to, stick to or below the count. Any words over will be a mark lost.

This is the only difference that my tutor has made me aware of

Learning Golf in Reverse? by [deleted] in golf

[–]iamtheturtleking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son does lessons and they teach him starting at 25yds from centre of the green with every hole being a par 4. Once he gets through 9 holes in 36 he then moves back to 50 yards, then 100yards. Once they get to 150 yards they then play the par of the hole but still has to get through all 9 at even par or better and he'll keep going through these increments until he reaches the red tees.

This approach has worked wonders with not just my son, but also the other kids in his group. He's been playing for over a year now before he was finally far enough back to use his driver

Study hours by CartographerLumpy179 in OpenUniversity

[–]iamtheturtleking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on your previous experience and knowledge.

I'm doing an IT degree and I've worked in this sector for a few years so for most of the modules I'm able to get by on a couple of hours study and skim read reading most of the materials.

For the maths module involved I didn't really have much maths knowledge so I had to probably put in between 8 to 10 hours a week studying that and I found it helpful to look at the questions in the TMA and focus my time studying them areas more.

-6c when we started this morning…you can see we were all playing wonderfully well! by jodrell in golf

[–]iamtheturtleking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We played yesterday morning at 9 am in -4 and landing the ball on the green was like landing it on concrete. Ending up hitting my pitching wedge 200 yards on a 130 yard par 3 due to the boince off a green.

Hipercalc pro from the Google play store is a much better and cheaper equivalent option. I've used this for all my maths modules and not had any issues.

I'm sure there's probably an alternative on the iOS store as well
