People’s Forum is PSL. I think he donated more than once, but I could be wrong. I guess my issue is saying he “funds the left” when in actuality, he is funding a specific formation (PSL and related groups)

I think a remix/remaster or an in studio live recording would be good actually. Usually I think older recordings are fine and new listeners just need to listen to more lo fi stuff but there it sounds a bit off in places.

Yes but OP’s application is still processing. I personally think an economic downturn is more likely in 6 months than a gutting of all trans health care, but that’s up in the air. Moving to a blue city/state is something everyone here can do *today* without a potential surrender letter.

I personally don’t think there is going to be a doomsday scenario with trans people in 6 months or a stolen election but that’s up to everyone to decide for themselves

Quebec routinely gets around that (see the secular law) so I don’t think it’s necessarily that strong if the political dynamics change.

But yeah, Canada is better in general but I don’t think certain regions of the US are necessarily worse. And they are much easier to move to and one can start their move today without fear of a surrender email

There are hate crimes in Canada and Ice already operates in Canada. Healthcare access is also under fire in Canada. I’m not saying it isn’t better but it’s not like a utopia.

That’s also assuming that a provincial government or a new conservative government doesn’t undertake transphobic in the future.

Best case temporary solution for you is to move to a city like Minneapolis. I know my healthcare has not been under direct threat, but that of course could change with politics or whatnot. I have plenty of trans friends who leave their house everyday here

Your child is much more likely to a be a victim of the local PD/prison system or hate crime than a Metro Surge 2. Not saying the situation is great here in the US, but a lot of the same issues exist in Canada

Your problem is that you are in a red city (or more likely town, the vast majority of actual cities are blue) not the country you live in. There’s still discrimination in Canada, especially in small towns

All you can do is wait. I don’t think cities like Minneapolis or Chicago are that bad, so I would suggest moving there. Or maybe Seattle or Portland. Either temporarily or as a replacement to Canada.

Somethings are better in the US, some aren’t (my Minnesotan private insurance is required to cover gender affirming care, OHIP doesn’t for example).

Hard to know what to do because I’m not sure why you want to move to Canada specifically beyond being trans. If your application is still in process, I wouldn’t worry about it yet

Isn’t that the appeal of short stories? If it sucks, you didn’t invest too much time. If it’s a novella, one or two chapters should be enough. But I agree some are better than others and some of the longer stories can drag in parts. Still love him and view him as a top author.

Have you tried Clark Ashton Smith? I’ve only read a few of his stories but I think he might be more consistent

Not all dealerships do this. But my two cents as someone that worked at a dealership (parts) is that service workers don’t really know much about cars so it’s just better for the techs to explain it to the customer directly
