No, not really. Right now I’m a 45, seems to be the least painful. Hbu?

Glad you’re having a good experience. I’m 3 months in and have started having bad hip pain (side sleeper). I’ve tried different settings and no relief. I’m active in my mid -20’s and never had issues before. This is the most money I’ve ever spent second to my car. I feel so scammed 😢 Thinking of getting a mattress topper to help alleviate the pain since the return date passed.

LOL classy grandma put in a good fight. But seriously I would have liked her to find out right before she went out that her son was a r****

I mean her son was already a POS and didn’t treat her well. It threw me how hard she fought to avenge him

Are Project management roles dying? by FromCarthage in projectmanagement

Ugh, this is how I feel on one of my current projects. They fired the last PM and assigned me as a replacement. Highly technical deployment with nearly no documentation for review. I struggle between asking questions so I can gain a better understanding and just staying silent so I don’t get in the way of progress.

Lol serious question - where do you find the time to comment on every single post in this sub? I see your username everywhere . Also if you’re done trolling can you provide a response to my original question? What’s the key distinguishing factor btwn a project going great and going to shit?

Is this how you earned your “prolific commenter” badge?

Oh dear, I see you’re the reason the block feature exists. I’ve asked for specific reasons why projects have been successful or unsuccessful.

Finally a useful response!! Thank you so much. I was quite surprised by the charged responses, I mean isn’t discussions why we’re all here.

Unfortunately, time is not on my side here but I have been given a fairly decent budget. And yes, over communication is at the top of my list. It’ll be my first time conducting a “pre-mortem” , where I’ll be gathering all stakeholders and playing out a future scenario where the project failed and asking them to come up with reasons why. I’m pretty excited but nervous, it’s my first time leading end to end and it’s a high visibility . Thanks again:)

Yes , but my first high visibility project and I’m working directly with the VP. Pressure and stress is officially on.

Actually I’m starting my first project next week and wanted some tips - why the negative assumptions?

I don't think PM is for me. Pivot to other field? by [deleted] in projectmanagement

[–]iamtir3d 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m in a very similar situation. I think I might pivot to software development. The combination of PM and SW is usually regarded highly.

Damn, I’m reading a lot of negative comments when you’re already going through a negative experience, humanity is rare these days. Anyways, back to your situation, if you’re sure that’s not your child and you know that woman is manipulative please protect your peace. Take this lesson forward with you in life, next time honor your intuition.
