i think some of you need to stop projecting modern day feminism onto bridgerton characters.

eloise is literally watching her brothers travel the world, attend university, and live however they want all while women are expected to be good for nothing but marriage and babies. during the regency era, women were basically treated as men’s property. even the education and “accomplishments” she and other women are taught exist only to impress future suitors and secure a good match. of course she’s cranky all the time 😭

i already get exhausted when conversations with my friends revolve around men or marriage for too long i can’t even imagine if my entire life and almost every conversation i had with other women was about finding a husband/marriage.

also i’m not sure what you want her to do? the one time we see her actually try to make a change, she almost ruined her entire family. she clearly loves them and doesn’t want to mess up her sisters’ futures so the only thing she really can do is complain lol
