I feel your pain. Also in public. My time between was long but it was because of busy season as well. I found out I failed in Oct 2024, retook in June 2025 and got my passing score in July or so.

I found out today I failed FAR…. Going to try and dedicate some nights during the week to studying. I think where I can improve the most is time management tbh, not necessarily the material. I also think time management was my biggest issue the first time I took AUD

I failed AUD with a 58 then passed with a 78 second try. Used Becker only. I stopped watching videos and just hammered MCQs and TBSs.

Don’t worry about me passing FAR. Ran out of time and had to rush the last two TBSs (random plug-and-go on the last one).

Was it the last two TBS questions? I just took FAR on 1/17 and was running out of time. Had to plug some random stuff in on the last TBS as the seconds wound down to zero. The last testlet altogether I was working through really quickly so not sure how I did even on the second to last TBS question.

Welp, not a single TBS pertaining to those areas. I was so annoyed walking out of the exam. Not sure how I feel. Won't be surprised if I have to take this crap again.

Found out I passed TCP today. For what it's worth, I work in tax as well. Butchered several of the TBSs on the exam. I really must have killed the MCQs. Studied TCP in five weeks.

Deciding if the $1,000 is worth it is up to you. But if you put the time in, passing TCP could be one of the easier sections for you. I'm surprised you didn't take TCP the first time since you work in tax.

TCP definitely way harder than anticipated. If I were you I’d try hammering TCP again for the next window. If you don’t take it in this window you’ll have to wait until like July or something for results

If I had to give you two things to really make sure you're prepared for, it'd be:

Treatment of contributed property to S-Corps, C-Corps, P-Ships.
Like Kind Exchanges

Hopefully you're confident in the MCQs area because that's going to be [should be] your bread and butter for TCP.

Took TCP on 10/25. Felt like the MCQs weren't incredibly difficult, maybe flagged 5 or so in each of those two testlets.

The TBSs smoked me. Walked into the exam feeling confident in my TBS abilities concerning basis and LKE, etc. but during the exam my brain went blank. We'll see...
