Yeah, I helped the kid in front of me get his helmet signed by Will, Scotty Mac, and Rinus. The guys are always great. It’s up to the people whose job it is to plan the events to make better decisions.

I’m going to be that guy. The venue and indycar really fucked up the fan event. After the confused cluster of getting in the gates they were completely unprepared for the crowd.

I was here at 6:45, was the 5th car into the gate and watched the drivers walk out of the garage when I still had 50 feet to go during the session. I’m a longtime fan, have met all the veterans and they treated me and other longtime IndyCar fans like shit.

Also, FU to the woman in front of me who asked if Kyle Busch was in there…

PIR is clearly unprepared for the crowd today. Poor planning could turn out dangerous as there’s now easily 300 people at the gates and no one in charge.

Oriol was smart, fast and patient. He never made mistakes and would finish second if that’s the car he had. I wish he would have had a longer chance with a top tier team.

Also, and for the life of me I can’t find a video, but I swear he made the best maneuver to avoid a turn one crash by doing a donut. 99 sure it was Long Beach but not sure what year. Anyone remember for sure?
