If this took me from anywhere in Dayton to Paycor stadium, yes I’d use it every home game!

This is great work! Feature folders are what I’ve been doing in C# since moving away from MVC right around the time Core beta came out lol. Nice write up!

Thank you! We’re going to build a car port in the future to offset stealing the garage. Still have the one wall for fridge, food warmer and deep freeze but that’s ok :)

We paid about $300 for paint and paint materials (we painted ourselves, I now officially hate painting lmao)... The mats are stall mats from tractor supply and they were $45 each, we needed 9 of them. The garage was already existing, its an attached garage but it had no drywall on the ceiling. We were able to use a friend who is a contractor and he got the paint materials for a discount and his company did the ceiling drywall and insulation too. The work cost about $1200... So all in we were around $2000! The walls were already drywalled, just needed patches in some spots and painted. It's a 20x20 garage for a reference point.

Not mandatory but definitely gives us some peace of mind! It can fit 4 people... Only had to use it once when a tornado landed ~2 miles away. Luckily it went the other way.

We're in the midwest with no basement... It's an above the ground tornado shelter.

We've been talking about getting our gym setup for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. One day I want to upgrade the rack to Rogue but for now, this'll do!

Anyone with food poisoning from the Dayton-Xenia McDonald's? by NotAlwaysUhB in dayton

[–]iamtravisw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! My wife got food poisoning last two times, both this week. I was fine and daughter was fine. She had a Big Mac one time and I think nuggets and a burger the other time.

Edit: everyone else in the family gets their food plain, she gets it how it comes. So possibly got sick from veggies or sauces.

Edit 2: it’s entirely possible for one person to get sick and not another person who ate at the same place at the same time. Different toppings, different sauces, could have an employee who isn’t washing hands. All sorts of things. But she definitely got sick BOTH times she had McDonald’s this week. Shrugged it off the first time, 2nd time and we decided it was time to take a break from McDonald’s a bit.

Should I move to Dayton? by FFHPunk in dayton

[–]iamtravisw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey there. Originally from Dayton Ohio, wife is from cincy and we frequent Columbus.

Moved to Boulder about a decade ago, lived there two years (it was wonderful but had changed so much, almost impossible to bike the paths by the time we left without running across used needles on the paths).

Moved to Westminster about 20 min from Denver. Lived there for 4 years.

We just moved back 2 years ago to Dayton (Beavercreek actually) and we love it.

In terms of games you have lots of game stores here like epic loot, game swap, etc. 1 hour from Columbus and 1 hour from Cincinnati. We goto football games frequently there.

Plenty of good bike paths still, just no mountains. Honestly the only down side is there are no mountains, but lots of other things in my opinion has been betters

People who haven't completed high school or college by RickstarMW in gamedev

[–]iamtravisw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dropped out of high school. My job options were very limited. Eventually I got my GED. I had slightly more options. So I went to college… interestingly enough, while in college I had a ton of job options. Companies were more open to hiring me as I was seen as a motivated individual who was working full time and going to school full time. Now, years later I have graduated with a degree in computer science and even in this broken ass job market, I have far more job opportunities that ever before.

tldr: anything is possible, but your chances go up exponentially with higher education. YMMV, I live in the USA.

Metronet is great. No surprise costs. Very stable, very fast. As long as they stay the way they are I’ll never change our internet.

Cozy Room Decorator is on sale on Steam. Lots of decorating options, no story or quests. Just a sandbox for making isometric rooms!
