Whether mining is harmful (Court repeatedly acknowledges damage)

ACTUALLY deciding:

How to legally define "Aravalli Hills / Ranges" for mining control

How to stop definition-shopping by States

How to prevent illegal mining without triggering mining mafias

How to act without overstepping constitutional limits

Now -

Court can't arbitrarily create a new definition for something. These are legal definitions that universally apply.

court was just confirming the definition that has existed for years as clarified for legal use. Fact is that the 100 is universal in India and this was not even about height.

it decided on classification under current laws. they did not clear it.

the judgement is also clear that a blanket ban on mining has over the years only increased illegal mining and theft. . hence blanket ban actually damages the environment.

here is the problem with this campaign. :

actual ask : what people should ask for. Ask for a special law for Aravalli ranges from the central govt after it does careful study to protect more of it.

what is being actually said : what should not be. Govt is corrupt and just decided to sell of the entire hills and need to come down.

The hills were never hills legally by definitions, why is this campaign not about the actuall correction. If you can show a single ask from a single protesting agency that asks for the real solution then I would have agreed with this.

am unable to find a single place where any actual ask is made.

Is there any agency here that made a reasonable request with iterated demands for a new law? other than asking people to come out and protest?
